Spontaneous

That was more than enough to describe Lee Donghyuck's sassy personality by nature. His fluffy curly brown hair that messily lain over his forehead, his petite button nose, his heart shaped lips, and his golden skin decorated with moles portrayed his innocence, but he was far from it.

Donghyuck and his best friend, Na Jaemin, were quite similar to each other. In fact, the two were never spotted without one another. They were glued to the hip, being best friends since birth. The duo often cracked jokes with one another and bet on their customers in the pub they worked in.

Complete and utter chaos is what they were together.

The pub they worked at was owned by Donghyuck's grandparents who were getting too old to be coming in to work to run it. So they gave Donghyuck the responsibility when he turned eighteen to run it in their shoes along with Jaemin.

It was a small pub towards the end of the city wherein people never really drove by. Because of its location, it was not very popular but there was enough people that came by to keep the business running. Some days more people came than others.

The building was aligned against the strip of stores that rarely anyone came to unless they were tourists. It was often quiet but Donghyuck and Jaemin's company kept the atmosphere energized.

Outside of the small building was painted white with a black roof with a few circular tables and chairs in front of it and inside were the same colors: black and white tiles, a brown long counter with drinks behind it and a few stools along it, and four small booths alongside the windows which was on the opposite side of the counter.

The pub was cozy and small, a narrow rectangular space. Beverage machines were sat on the counter and at the edge of it was the cash register. Each booth, black seats and a brown table, were dimly lit with small lamps that hung above them. Towards the end of the hall-like pub was a jukebox that played any song with a quarter pushed inside. The bathrooms were on either side of the red and brown music box.

Donghyuck, with a black apron tied to his waste over his gray sweatshirt and navy blue pants, mixed up a few drinks from an order he took for a couple in one of the booths. They did not only make alcoholic drinks—especially considering that they were only twenty years old—but regular beverages too like lemonade of coffee.

"Bring this to table four," Donghyuck told his best friend. Jaemin had teal straightened hair, wearing a white polo shirt and black pants underneath his own apron. Donghyuck slid the drinks over the counter which Jaemin stood on the other side of, reaching for the drinks and giving them to the respective customers.

"Here you are," Jaemin said, a gummy smile that people became absolutely entranced by his beauty. "Your food is almost done."

Jaemin bowed before going back behind the counter with Donghyuck. A ding echoed through the pub as a piece of bread shot out of the toaster. Donghyuck took the bread out, stuffing it with cooked meat before serving it on a plate. Jaemin made the other sandwich while Donghyuck cut the one he served in half.

Donghyuck and Jaemin often took turns waiting tables so this time, Donghyuck went with the plates to the table and gave the customers their food. He went back behind the counter afterwards. That couple were the only ones in the pub which meant there was not that much work for the two of them to do.

"Who do you think asked who out?" Jaemin whispered as the two of them subtly watched the couple giggle with each other.

"I mean if you're soulmates, are you still supposed to ask the other person out?" Donghyuck questioned with a raise of his brow while Jaemin tsked and shook his said.
