Waglington snapped out of it and went back to his old self. "P-Pearl?" He knew exactly what happened and what he did. Wag teleported to the bottom, there he saw Pearl. She was all scratched up, bleeding from every scratch. There was a giant cut in her skull, blood spilling out. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry..." He whispered, "I'm so, so, so sorry! PEARL!" Wag sobbed. He knew crying on his friend wasn't going to help, Wag went over to his bag and pulled out a bottle with bright pink liquid in it. It was a healing potion, the potion was supposed to be used when he needed it. But Waglington needed it now, it didn't matter if he was one day dying and needed it, Wag knew it was his fault so he would use anything and everything in his power to help his friend. Wag carried the potion to Pearl, he was about to open it up when a squeak came from her. "H-Hey Wag..." She smiled weakly,
"Shh. Don't move, I'm gonna heal you." Wag shooshed her.
"NO!" Pearl piped. "Wag, I'm ready to die. I at least saved you and that's all I wanted to do!" She went on.
"I can't do that Pearl. I caused your death and I'm fixing you." He objected, taking the cork off of the bottle.
"I accept my fate..." Pearl's voice got weaker.
"Pearl?"
"Thank you, Waglington. For teaching me how to be a friend. Ya'know, if I didn't meet you, then I would of died of starvation or some other animal eating me... heh."
"Thanks, Waglington... for... all... you... did..." Pearl stopped talking. She stopped breathing. Her heartbeat stopped. Wag felt tears running down his cheeks. This wasn't fair, he lost everything he knew and everyone he loved. The only things Wag had left was a charcoal colored cloak and magic.
