( sorry about the horrible shading in the picture, I'm not one of the people who actually KNOWS how to shade) Lady Ianite was walking in the vast forest near her cottage. She was only 16, yet she lived alone with nothing but her wits, house, pets and crops. But of course she was wealthy, Ianite just didn't want to be seen as a wealthy goddess. Ianite heard wailing from a distance, she went towards the wailing. It got louder with every step she took, "Hello? Is anyone there?" She asked, no reply, just somebody yelling the words, "That wizard will pay!". "What wizard?" She asked herself. Ianite saw weird, purple plants crawling up her leg. "Well hello there." She said to the plants, as a goddess, Ianite can communicate with plants and animals. Ianite walked a little more and saw female in a dark purple cloak with both hands on her face. "Are you alright?" Ianite asked, the woman looked up at her, "No.." Her voiced cracked. "My eyes were once so beautiful..." The woman said softly. "Now I cannot see, how I would love to see the beautiful face that came from that beautiful voice." The woman sobbed some more. Ianite put her hand on the woman's hand, "Follow me," she smiled, some time passed at the two were in Ianite's cottage. "How did you become blind?" Ianite asked. "Oh, it was a pesky boy, probably your age. He was cutting me up with his scythe." The lady lied, "Wanna know a secret?" She asked the goddess. Ianite leaned closer, "The boy, he was using Blood Magic..." She whispered. The goddess gasped, "Oh my! My older brother uses Blood Magic, he's mother's favorite but I must say, he's full of himself." Ianite explained. "Yes, it's a dangerous thing." The lady took a sip of the tea that Ianite gave her. "What is your name?" The goddess asked. "My name is Marcy Sorcerina." Marcy answered. "Wait," Marcy turned her head to Ianite, "Your older brother, who is your mother's favorite... uses blood magic?" She asked. "Indeed." Lady Ianite nodded. Marcy quickly sat up, the tea cups bounced and almost shattered. Marcy pointed at Ianite, "YOU'RE LADY IANITE! SOON TO BE THE GODDESS OF BALANCE!" She screamed. "Y-Yes, I am." The goddess stuttered. Marcy sat down, "My apologies for screaming, my lady. I just wanted to ask... do you have to power to heal me?" She asked. Ianite took a deep breath, "Although, I am a goddess, I do not have many godly powers. The only thing I can do is give you information to go to somebody who CAN heal your blindness, but will probably not. I'm sorry.". Marcy was still, "Please, give me the information. I want to have my sight back." Marcy pleaded. "*sigh* Be careful what you wish for, my friend." Ianite put both of her hands on the sides of Marcy's head, her hands glowed and the information was given. The blind sorceress thanked the goddess and went off. "What a nice lady." Ianite went back to her cottage, she looked out from her window and saw a black haired boy her age walking around the field. "Hello?" She called, the boy looked at her and waved, Ianite went outside and ran to him. "Um, hello. What brings you here?" She asked, the boy didn't reply, he had an iron sword in his left hand and his stomach was thin. Ianite smiled and welcomed him to her house, the boy didn't talk until the goddess asked, "Where did you come from?".
"A group..." he said quietly. Ianite heard, "What group?" She asked. "A horrible group, with horrible people." He poured some tea in the cup, his hand was shaky. Ianite noticed this and put her hand on his, she looked him in the eyes and smiled, "It's ok. You don't have to be scared.". "Y-Yes I do," he put his hand off of hers, "If I d-don't follow orders they'll kill me, they'll kill everyone I love..." He started crying, a tear fell on the table. Ianite looked at him with confusion and pity. "Who are they?" She asked.
"Mercenaries..."
