Chapter 28: Heartbreak

(WARNING: NOT EDITED) Waglington woke up in a tree, "What the ever-loving fuck did I do last night?" He said. "Hey Wag!" Pearl shouted from below, "What are you doing?" She asked.
"I honestly don't know!" He answered.
"I'll get you down!" Pearl dug her claws into the tree bark, she slipped and the tree shook. Wag fell out of the tree and into Pearl's arms, he gave her a glare and she dropped him. Later that same day, Wag and Pearl were fighting a giant catfish. Wag managed to get on top of it and rode the giant catfish like a bull, "YEE HAWW- AHHH!" The gigantic catfish jerked Waglington off (am I using that word right?). He fell onto Pearl, and yes, he fell ON TOP of her. They both blushed and she kicked him off and into the water, "Don't make that same mistake or you won't be falling into water." She grunted. Wag quietly mimicked her, she threw a throwing knife that was inches away from his face. Pearl smirked and walked off, the humongous catfish leaned over to Wag, "GURL, you're NEVA gettin a girl like dat. So I suggest chasin after her until it's too late.". At dusk, the two nimrods were setting up a campfire, Wag sat next to Pearl, "So, I got you a present. It costed a lot of money." He gave her a GIANT SWORD (kind of like the Buster Sword from Final Fantasy). "OH MY GODS! ITS A BIG-ASS SWORD!" Pearl was more then happy when she received it. "And it's light!" She looked like a little girl who was receiving a pony. Wag smiled at her happiness, Pearl gave him a long, heartwarming hug. "Thank you." She whispered. He smiled again, "You're welcome."
The next day Pearl woke up, she was surprised to see a blindfolded woman sitting next to Wag. They were both talking and laughing. Immediately, Pearl felt a mixture of jealousy and heartbreak. She sat right in the middle of them, "Hey guys! How was your sleep Wag? And who is this beautiful, young lady talking to you? (Single, invisible tear falling)"
"Um, this is Marcy. She is a spell caster who lost her vision." Wag explained.
"Oh, that's nice. I mean, horrible. I mean-" Pearl stood up and ran away.
"What was that?" Marcy asked,
"I actually don't know, she has never acted like this."
"Do you still love her? Regardless of the mistakes she makes?"
"Or course I do."
"It's great that you do." Marcy beamed. Deep in the forest, Pearl was running, tears blurred her vision. She finally stopped on a tree stump, she sat down and wailed. She cried as loud as she could, hoping nobody heard. Then Pearl took out one of her throwing knives.

Pearl aimed the knife at her heart, she then thought twice at pointed it at her wrist. She slightly sliced one wrist, "One cut for fucking up." She sliced again, "Another for being jealous."
Pearl did it one more time, "And the last for falling in love."
A tear fell on her cut wrist, she didn't realize she was crying again. Pearl heard Wag calling her name, she heard Marcy calling her name. Then, she heard the voices. "God, you're never going to be like her!"
"Screw up!"
"Can't keep up a relationship."
"Not pretty enough."
"Not perfect enough."
"She's WAY better then you are!"
"Wow, loser alert!"
Pearl cupped her ears, "Stop!" She screamed. "Wild animal!" A voice laughed.
"Call the zoo because we found a new species!"
Pearl screamed, Wag heard her from a distance. "PEARL!" He ran towards the screaming. Wag saw Pearl sitting on the floor, all curled up in a ball. Wrists cut, tears leaking from her eyes, arms cupped around her ears. Wag picked her up, "P-Pearl, are you ok?" He asked, Pearl's eyes were wide with fear. Images of Wag killing her popped up in her brain, she couldn't say a word. Wag did what Kelly would do to him during thunderstorms when he was little. Wag shooshed Pearl and gently stroked her head. She stopped crying. "Now what's wrong?" He asked. Pearl remained silent, "She's still in shock." Marcy said. Waglington carried Pearl back to the campsite, she was asleep halfway through the walk. Back at the campsite, Wag examined the cuts. "Is she doing ok?" Marcy came in with a tray of tea. "I don't even know." Wag responded, he kissed the top of her head. She smiled, after everyone left the tent, Pearl woke up. She heard every word that everyone said. "He really does love me." She whispered.
