The Party

Kai's POV

TWO WEEKS LATER

Skylor and I still haven't spoken to each other...

Honesty, I can't blame her. It wasn't right for me to lie to her.

"Kai! Get over here!", I hear my sister shout.

Lately, I haven't been getting out of bed. It's mostly because I feel so pathetic.

Eventually, I got out of bed and went to go see what my sister wants.

"What?", I ask the water ninja.

"We all got invited to a party of the heroes of ninjago! And before you say that you don't want to go, just know that Skylor might go, too.
This might be your chance to finally speak to her!"

I sighed. "When is it?"

"It's in 2 days."

"Fine, I'll go."

Skylor's POV

Kai and I haven't spoken in 2 weeks.

Honestly, I'm not even mad at him anymore.
I just don't know what to say to him.

My work shift just ended, and I just arrived at my apartment.

And there was a letter in my mailbox that said;

Hey, Skylor!

It's Dareth!
I'm inviting you to my hero-only party!
If you're interested, the party starts at 7 pm on Saturday at my house (1322 Ninjago Street).

PS: I would REALLY appreciate if you bring some puffy pot stickers!

Now I need to go out and buy a dress.

TIME SKIP

I just got back home from going dress shopping, and I got a light brown cocktail dress (picture of what it look like is at the top).

Kai's POV

It's finally Saturday, which means that I (most likely) get to see Skylor.

I hope she's not mad at me anymore.

I put on my brown suit and red tie.

Then, I spike up my hair with gel.

"Kai!", my sister shouts. "We're going to be late!"

TIME SKIP

We just arrived at the party, and I'm looking for Skylor.

She's the main reason why I came here in the first place.

After about half an hour of looking for her, I decided to get myself a drink.

I was drinking some champagne, and then Dareth came towards me.
