Kai's POV

It's been forever since Skylor and I have been alone together.

I still think about when we were in the tournament of elements a lot because that's when we were so close and then we got drifted apart.

I wish that Dareth didn't interrupt our almost kiss.

Did Skylor have a crush on me back then? I mean she tried to kiss me but I think she was just doing that to say goodbye.

She doesn't have feelings for me. Anyways, we've been here for 5 hours and honesty, it's not too bad.

The only bad thing is, I don't have my elemental power and Skylor does. What if something bad happens to her?

I can't even protect her. Well anyways, back to right now; Skylor's speaking to me about how her noodle shop might close because many people found out what Chen did and refuse to go into a criminal's store and that she might have to close it down.

I frown and say "Who's taking over the shop right now since you're here?"

She sighs and says, "I couldn't find anybody to since I didn't know I would be coming to the never realm so I guess my store is no longer going to be in business."

I grabbed her hand and I say, "Don't worry, Skylor. I'll make sure your shop doesn't close. Everyone does everything for me since I'm a ninja and I'll convince them not to close down your shop."

She smiles and stares deep into my eyes.

"Thank you Kai," she says, "You always know just what to say."

I start to blush. "Thanks, Skylor. You kn-" our moment got interrupted by Jay.
"Um... what are you guys doing?" He says with a smirk.

"Uh..." is all I could make out.

"The real question is, what are you doing here, Jay? Aren't you supposed to be helping Nya?"
Skylor says with a smile.

"Yes, I am supposed to be helping Nya, but I wanted to see what you love birds were doing." Jay says with a big grin.

"We're not love birds!" Me and Skylor shout. I wish we were.

"Whatever. I was just kidding. But the real reason I came was because Sorla is saying it's getting too dark and you need to come back." He said, still smirking. 

"Oh okay," Skylor says.

As we walk back, I could see Skylor looking at the ground and upset so I grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

She looks up at me and I could see her face go a light shade of pink.

But maybe that could be what happens from the cold air.

We walk back to the village together, still holding hands.

But suddenly, we saw something horrific....
