Never Realm Disaster

The Cabin

Skylor's POV

We were in the hut and I can't help but feel sorry for Kai. In the same day, he lost his power and 2 best friends.

I've never had anyone close to me until I met Kai.

Ever since I denied his offer of joining the ninja team, I've been really mad at myself.

I lost the only person that made me feel like me.

But I'm glad that I'm here in the Never realm with him.

I never do anything exiting anymore, and it's great to kick back into action.

Especially since I'm with Kai.

I look over to see Kai staring at the ground with a frown, and I move closer to him and whisper, "You can take a break from working today. You deserve to rest."

He smiles at me and says, "No, no. I'm not letting you go alone. What if the dragon is coming and you don't make it in time?"

This makes me smile. "Kai, I'll be fine. I can protect myself."

"That doesn't matter," he exclaimed. "I'm not letting you do this alone."

"Enough!" Sorla shouts. "Neither of you are going to be searching for the dragon and that's that." She says.

"Then what're we going to be doing all day?" Kai says sounding a bit angry.

"You'll mostly stay inside or help out Jay and Nya, but you're not going to be searching for the dragon. Especially without your powers to protect you."

Kai was about to say something but mumbled it instead.

"But I suggest you both rest. Your cabin is 2 huts down." Sorla says.

Me and Kai grab our stuff and start to walk into the cabin.

I blush when I notice there's only one bed.

When Kai saw what I was looking at, he blushed too.

A minute later, Sorla walks in to see what we're doing and says, "I hope you're both happy with your room."

I blush and say, "Everything is great except that there's only one bed..."

Sorla sighs. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience but since the cabins are so small, we can't fit that much in here." She says.

"Is there at least a couch?" Kai says still looking a little red.

"No, I'm sorry. All this cabin has is a bathroom, a bedroom and a kitchen. So there's no couch." Sorla says.

"Oh... well, uh, thanks." When Sorla leaves, I go to the time, and it's 1 am.

Time really does fly by here.

"I'm going to head to the shower." I say.

"Ok, go ahead." He says.

When I got into the shower, the water was barely warm but that wasn't what I really cared about.

All I could think of is, there's only one bed. I mean, I could sleep on the floor, right?

No, I can't.
There's only one blanket which is the one on the bed.

When I finish my cold shower, I get changed.

I didn't bring any clothes, obviously, so Nya let me borrow hers.

As I get out of the bathroom, I hear Kai and some other person and they're talking about how much they miss Cole and Zane.

This makes me frown and I walk towards Kai. I see Jay beside him and see tears on both of their faces.

Once Kai spots me, he immediately wipes his eyes and says, "Oh, hey! Didn't hear you come out of the bathroom."

I sigh and tell him, "Kai, it's okay to cry. Your friend just got trapped in ice. It's ok to feel sad."

He sighs and says, "Jay, you can go back to your cabin. I'm going to shower."

Jay nods, "Okay but don't have too much fun without me." He says with the biggest grin which makes me go crimson red.

Why would he say that???, I think to myself.

And Kai just shoved Jay out of the cabin.

Then, he grabs his stuff and heads to the shower.

Kai's POV

I head into the cold shower and can't stop thinking about what Jay said.

It's already awkward enough that I have to share a bed with her.

Anyways, once I finish my (probably) one hour long shower, I start to do my hair. Some might say that's pointless but I disagree.

Once I finish gelling my hair, I leave the bathroom and head towards Skylor.

She's reading one of the books that Sorla left for us with glasses.

Since when does she wear glasses?

She looks up at me. "What took you so long?", she says with an annoyed smile.

"Hair like this doesn't look so good on its own." I say with a smirk. "Also, since when do you wear glasses?"

She covers her face and said, "I only wear them while reading." She says, still hiding her face.

"You don't have to cover your face, glasses look good on you." I say while blushing.

She lifts up her head with a big smile which automatically makes me smile back.

30 minutes later....

After 30 minutes of talking, we both decide to go to bed.

I blow out the candles that are lighting up our room since there are no lights and head back to the bed.
But I can't sleep.
I can hear Skylor shivering and this might be weird but I whisper, "If you're cold, you can come by me."

I immediately regret saying that, but then I felt a cold body on mine.

Even though it was dark, I could see my cheeks get red.

I hear Skylor's breath slow down and soon, mine does too.
