It was a typical Friday night at the U.A. dorms, and class 1-A had decided to have a karaoke party in the common room. Everyone was taking turns singing their favorite songs, and surprisingly, most of them were pretty good. Bakugo had initially been reluctant to join in, but Kirishima had managed to convince him otherwise. So, there he was, sitting in the back of the room, scowling and looking annoyed as ever.
But then it was Deku's turn to sing, and Bakugo's attention was immediately drawn to him. He could see the nervousness in Deku's body language as he twisted his hair around his finger. Bakugo had always loved that little quirk of Deku's. It was endearing, and he couldn't help but feel a little warm inside every time he saw it.
Deku took the mic, and Bakugo leaned forward in his seat, feeling a sudden surge of excitement. He knew this was going to be good. And then, as Deku began to sing Line Without a Hook by Ricky Montgomery, Bakugo's heart swelled with pride and admiration.
Deku sang beautifully, his voice clear and strong. Bakugo had never heard him sing before, and he was blown away. It was his favorite song, and to hear Deku singing it so perfectly was almost too much for him to handle. He watched as Deku closed his eyes and let the music wash over him, lost in the moment.
The rest of the class was in awe, cheering and clapping as Deku finished his song. But Bakugo barely noticed them. All he could see was Deku, standing there in front of him, his eyes shining with happiness and accomplishment.
And then, as the applause died down, Bakugo did something that surprised even himself. He stood up, walked over to Deku, and wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.
"That was amazing, Deku," Bakugo whispered in his ear. "You're amazing."
Deku blushed, looking up at Bakugo with wide eyes. And in that moment, Bakugo knew that he was in love with Deku. He had been for a long time, but now it was crystal clear. He couldn't imagine his life without Deku in it.
The rest of the night was a blur for Bakugo. He sang a few more songs, but his mind was elsewhere, focused entirely on Deku. And as the night drew to a close, and everyone started to head back to their rooms, Bakugo and Deku stayed behind, sitting on the couch and talking quietly.
It was a night that Bakugo would never forget. The night he realized that he was head over heels in love with his best friend, and that he would do anything to make him happy. And as they walked back to their room together, their hands intertwined, Bakugo knew that this was just the beginning of something incredible.
