Bakugo staggered through the dimly-lit streets, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. Blood dripped from his split lip, and his left eye was swollen shut. He had just emerged victorious from a grueling battle with a powerful villain, but he knew he couldn't rest just yet. He had promised Deku that they would go on a date tonight, and he wasn't about to break that promise.

As he approached Deku's apartment building, Bakugo felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him. He had expended a tremendous amount of energy during the fight, and his injuries were beginning to take their toll. But he gritted his teeth and pushed through the pain, his mind fixed firmly on his goal.

With a burst of adrenaline-fueled strength, Bakugo clambered up the side of the building and swung himself onto the windowsill of Deku's bedroom. He pushed the window open quietly and slipped inside, careful not to wake his sleeping boyfriend.

Deku was curled up under a mountain of blankets, his breathing slow and even. Bakugo felt a pang of guilt as he gazed down at the peaceful expression on his face. He knew he had worried Deku by not showing up for their date, and he couldn't wait to make it up to him.

"Hey," Bakugo whispered, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to Deku's forehead. "Wake up."

Deku stirred, his eyes fluttering open. When he saw Bakugo standing there, battered and bruised but still looking at him with fierce determination, his heart leapt into his throat.

"Kacchan, what happened!?" Deku exclaimed, sitting up and throwing back the covers. "Are you okay!?"

Bakugo explained everything, recounting the fight with the villain in detail. He apologized profusely for missing their date, and Deku listened with rapt attention, his eyes never leaving Bakugo's face.

When Bakugo finished, he took a deep breath and looked at Deku, his heart pounding in his chest. "There's one more thing I have to do," he said, his voice hoarse. "Something I should have done a long time ago."

And then, with shaking hands, Bakugo reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. He dropped to one knee in front of Deku, holding the box out to him.

"Deku, I love you more than anything in this world," Bakugo said, his voice trembling. "Will you marry me?"

Deku's eyes widened in shock, and tears sprang to his own eyes. "Kacchan... yes!" he cried, throwing his arms around Bakugo's neck. "Of course I will!"

The two of them kissed, long and deep, their bodies pressed together as they shared this moment of pure joy. For Bakugo, the pain of his injuries faded away, replaced by the warmth of Deku's embrace and the promise of a future filled with love and happiness.
