It was late at night, and the common room was almost completely silent, except for the soft breathing of the sleeping students. Deku had been so exhausted from training that he had fallen asleep on one of the couches, his head resting on a cushion.

But then, suddenly, he woke up, sweating profusely and gasping for breath. He had just had a nightmare, one that shook him to his core. In the dream, he had failed to save his friends from a villain attack, and they had all died right in front of his eyes.

As he tried to calm down, Deku's breathing became more and more erratic. His heart was pounding so hard that he could feel it in his ears. He was about to go into a full-blown panic attack when he heard footsteps approaching.

It was Bakugo, who had just come in to grab a snack. He froze when he saw Deku, who was now shaking and crying. Bakugo had never been good at comforting people, but he knew that he had to try.

"Hey, what's going on?" Bakugo asked, taking a step closer to Deku.

Deku tried to speak, but his throat was constricted. He could only shake his head and continue to cry.

Bakugo felt helpless. He didn't know what to do or say. He looked around the room, hoping to find someone else who was awake, but everyone seemed to be sound asleep.

"Come on, Deku, you gotta calm down," Bakugo said, his voice strained.

He stepped closer to Deku and awkwardly patted his back. He knew it wasn't much, but it was all he could think to do. To his surprise, Deku leaned into the touch, and his crying started to subside.

"Th-thank you, Kacchan," Deku stuttered, wiping away his tears.

Bakugo just nodded, still feeling uncomfortable. He didn't know what to say, so he just stood there in silence, keeping his hand on Deku's back.

After a few minutes, Deku's breathing returned to normal, and his heart rate slowed down. He looked up at Bakugo, his eyes filled with gratitude.

"I'm okay now," he said, his voice still shaky.

Bakugo nodded, a small smile forming on his face. "Good. You had me worried for a second there, you know."

Deku laughed softly, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that he had friends who would always be there for him, even in his darkest moments.
