I keep my glare on Kadence as she walks in front of me to Noah's cell thing. She seems... sad. Which is confusing me but I am trying to focus on getting Noah and I out of the Walks facility.

I use the key card to open the door, Kadence looking at me in surprise. "Y-you..." she mumbles. I turn to look at her, my hand on the door knob.

"You killed the guy"

I glare at her before shoving open the door and stepping inside, dragging the axe with me.

Noah looks confused on why Kadence is behind me but I wave my hand and watch as she steps forward and pulls out her keys. The handcuffs fall from Noah's now red wrists onto the cement flooring.

He rubs his wrists and watches as Kadence unlocks the cuffs on his ankles. Finally, he's released. Immediately he gets out of the chair and walks quickly into my arms, lifting me in the air slightly. The axe clangs to the ground when I drop it to wrap my arms around Noah's neck.

Silent tears stream down my face like a waterfall and I bury my face in his neck. Noah's body starts to shake as if he's sobbing. We're quiet and simply hold onto each other so tightly.

An alarm breaks our moment. It's loud and blaring. It sounds awful and annoying.

"Something happened..." Kadence mumbles, her stance tense. Noah adjusts our position to where my feet are touching the ground, but his arm is wrapped around my waist to keep me close.

"What do you mean?" He asks. "It means something happened. This isn't about either of you getting out. Only once has that alarm gone off and it's when Slax sent in those men to kill us"

I watch Noah's face closely, seeing it shift through emotions both angry and alarmed. Then we hear voices.

"Find Noah and his fucking girl!" Sarah orders.

"Cassidy" Harley pipes up.

"Whatever! We need to get them to the other building"

"Alrighty! Fine. I'll go get Noah, you call in Andrea and Heather and get their soldiers searching everywhere for Cassidy"

We freeze and Noah turns to Kadence. "Go out there and lie or I swear I will slit your throat" he growls. Kadence glares at him before sauntering forward. "You don't have to threaten me"

We follow her to the door and then Noah presses me against the wall beside it. The door shuts and he looks down slightly at me.

"I'm going to sit in that chair, alright? You have to keep quiet and be still. If they come in here they won't see you. Whatever happens we have to trust Kadence. We'll get out I promise"

I feel a silent tear slip down my cheek and Noah swipes it away with a thumb. "Don't worry" he mumbles. "I'm so tired" I say. Noah switches his gaze between my two eyes as if trying to find something. He opens his mouth to say something but then Kadence walks back in.

"Okay listen. Noah get those handcuffs on right now." Then she turns to me. "You need to get to the roof. After that there's a ladder and you'll have to climb down it. When that's done run into the woods, alright? There's a chain link fence that you can climb over. If you're lucky then you'll find a vehicle and if not then you'll have to walk."

Satisfied with my instructions, Kadence walks over to get Noah in the handcuffs. "Wait you want me to leave him here!?" I ask. Kadence nods.

"As far as everyone is concerned, Noah is still captive and you are missing. If you can get out then find us I can get Noah out to you"

I pace, running my hands through my hair in stress. "Love" I turn to Noah, a whimper escaping my lips.

"I have a storage unit and it's filled with everything you'll need. Go home and get Judge then go to the storage unit. Kadence is going to find a way to get the details to you"

I nod slowly as Kadence steps back from Noah and walks to the door. I realize she's giving us space. Immediately I embrace Noah, hugging him even though he can't hug me back.

His breath is fanning across my neck, making me shiver. Ever since I met this man all my life has been is chaotic and blood-filled.

"When we get out I'll take you on a date. No torture, no killing, no blood, just us" he whispers to me. I hug him tightly and smile.

When I let go, Noah leans down and kisses me deeply. I feel a surge inside me. Confidence and determination. I will get Noah and I out of this.

I watch as Kadence takes Noah out of the room and leaves me alone. I then move quickly by grabbing the hammer and the axe, grabbing the keys Kadence gave me and exiting the room.

I use the directions Kadence gave me to get to the stairs. Luckily no one was in the way and I made it there quickly. It seems that this facility is partly underground. It surprises me but it makes the climb down the ladder easier.

Taking Kadence's advice, I run into the woods and don't stop until I've reached the fence. After climbing over it, I run and run.

I don't realize how far I've gotten until my converse skid on the asphalt.

Arriving at the apartment makes me tense and sad. It kills me that neither Noah or even Luke will be inside.

Judge, however, is ecstatic to see me. We spend a whole minute on the floor hugging.

But then it's time to get to work. I quickly feed my dog and then shower, changing into another pair of jeans and a tight t-shirt. After that I go into the closet where Noah has bought and hidden a safe. I'm suprised at what I find.

In the safe is the keys to the storage unit, a thick folder filled with passports and papers, some documents, a photo, and a gun with a holster.

I put the holster on and load the gun (a skill Luke taught me) before sliding it in its place. It feels heavy and weird on my hip but I know I'll get used to it.

I grab the keys and then head back into the kitchen, grabbing my car keys. Judge follows close at my side on the way to the car, not breaking stride.

The drive to the storage unit isn't long and I can still feel that determination gripping onto me. When I arrive, Judge and I walk to the correct unit and I take a deep breath before using the keys to unlock the latch. And then I raise the garage door and Judge and I slide quickly underneath it.
