Chapter IV "Cavalry Battle continued"

(Y/n) POV:

As the effects of my quirk got stronger, I felt as I was about to pass out until I suddenly thought of an idea 'Fuck, this is gonna hurt,' I then quickly created fire in my right hand and, with a little hesitation, burnt my left arm as I flinched in pain, but luckily my plan worked and my pain was now focused on the burn as I quickly used some water to heal the wound. 'That ain't gonna do much,' I then decided to play the risk game and make my way towards Midoriya while ignoring everyone around me, only for me to immediately regret it "Indiscriminate shock, one point three milllion volts!" I heard someone yell as a large amount of electricity came my way.

I thought quickly and turnes my water being to fully ice while getting my body ready as the large amounts of electricity came my way and I quickly absorbed it then redirected it towards a location that was no where near me, which left all watching stunned as I took a deep breath and relaxed as I felt my body jolt a little.

All Might POV:

I was watching as everyone charged at young Midoriya as Denki suddenly let out a large burst of electricity which caused many to get shocked in the process, but the one student that stood out was (Y/n), who had somehow absorbed then redirected the electrical shock "I didn't know he could do that," I said a little shocked "Nether did I," I heard Nezu say as I just kept watching to see what happened next.

(Y/n) POV:

Almost immediately after I had redirected the electricity, it was soon followed by a sudden sheet of ice that Todoroki had created and used to keep others in place as he snatched their headbands, I then saw he was going after me, but I knew it was useless as I turned my entity's back into water and used the ice that Todoroki had created to make it into water which left him confused.  "Thanks for the free ammo," I said while using it to surround myself in a water orb that I then turned to ice as I then took a breather "Thank the lord," I said to myself as I watched Todoroki create a whole ice wall around us, and by us, I meant Midoriya, himself, and me.

I then managed to get my breath back and realized that the side affects of my quirk were starting to kick in again so I did what I could do and came up with a plan and after some time, had one, I quickly turned the orb of ice I was in back to water and used to surround Todoroki's team 'That's one problem gone,' I then looked towards Midoriya who had a nervous expression as I could only smile.  "Right now Mido, it's you and me, and that headband around your head," I said while slowly making my way towards his team while gathering water from the ice around us and creating enough for three tentacles.

I then lunged all three towards them only for them to get blocked by the birds shadow figure "Impressive, but your not the only one who can create such creatures," I said while using the water to create a similar creature that looked like the shadow creature which had ice claws and an ice beak which only made Midoriya more nervous as they proceeded to clash.

Todoroki POV:

'Damnit, (Y/n) is already going after Midoriya, and we're trapped inside this ice orb, we can't use Kaminari or he'll short circuit, Momo can't create anything that'll help; We're trapped,' I kept thinking of more and more possible solutions until Iida suddenly spoke up "Everyone, we have least than sixty seconds, I'm gonna do something that'll make me useless to you, but it's worth it".  This left me slightly confused as I asked "What are you gonna do?" "Make sure you get that headband," he said as he got into a running stance, but I didn't question it and simply got ready.

(Y/n) POV:

While we were clashing, I felt myself get weaker and eventually had to drop the tentacles as I was too affected to continue, just then I saw that the sphere of ice I had created was glowing blue on the inside and saw as it suddenly shattered and something moved at light speed as I heard someone yell "RECIPROBURTS!!!" I quickly looked towards Midoriya and saw that Todoroki had snatched his headband.  I was left in shock as I tried to process what just happened, but had to quickly surround myself in ice once more as the affects had gotten stronger "fuck..." I said as I tried to think of a different plan, but came up empty.

I then saw as Midoriya had started running towards Todoroki and I quickly burnt my arm again and healed it to reset the affects as I then melted the ice around my and followed Midoriya as I rushed towards Todo myself, I then saw as Midoriya's arm suddenly started glowing with a red like vain running through it as he clashed with Todo and I swore I saw fire admit for his arm.  I then saw as Midoriya, didn't hit Todo, but rather moved his arm out the way as he snatched the first band around Todo's neck and getting away as I then decided to back off before I got into a dangerous situation.

I then saw as Midoriya's expression went from one of relief to one of shock "OH NO, TEAM MIDORIYA DIDN'T GET THE TEN MILLION POINTS AFTER ALL!!!" Mic yelled as I looked towards Todoroki as the final countdown started, I looked towards the leader board and saw that I was in fourth and realized that I didn't need the point "Guess it's the waiting game," I said to myself before creating a sphere of water around me before turning it to ice.  I then saw as Bakugo launched himself over the ice wall and propelled himself towards Todo just as Mido got ready to rush as well, I waited to see what would happen, but just before they all clashed "TIMES UP!!!" I heard Mic announce as everyone immediately stopped and I quickly melted and got rid of all the water I had used.

"Now let's take a look at who our top four teams are!" I heard Mic announce as he went over the standings "Team Todoroki in first, team Bakugo in second, team tetsute- wait, WHAT!?! It's team Shinso, when did they come back from the dead!?" after the standings of first through third, I felt pretty good about myself... until... I heard who came in fourth.  "And in fourth place is team Midoriya," as soon as I heard that, I immediately felt sick to my stomach and looked towards Midoriya and saw that he was balling his eyes out, out of joy, at first I felt pissed, but eventually calmed down and walked towards them.

"Yo, Midoriya," I said which caught his attention "Y-yea (Y/n)?" he asked as I took a breath and reached my hand out "Nice going, made me drop from fourth to fifth during the final countdown," I said while smiling and laughing a little as he shook my hand "I-it was nothing, sorry I ruined your chances though," I head him say as I just shrugged.  "You win some you lose some, just glad I didn't get last," I said as Midoriya smiled back at me "Now if you excuse me, I got someone to talk to," I said while pulling my hand back and walking towards Todoroki "Oi, Todo, we got something to talk about," I said as he turned towards me.

"What do you want?" he asked coldly "You could have used fire this entire time?" I asked as he just looked as his hand "I never intended to, I never want to even try and use it," he said as I grabbed his shoulder "If I were still in this game, I would buen you to ash for even disgracing the name of fire," I said as smoke started admitting from my hand.  I then took my hand off him and started to walk away "I'm not gonna leave as that would be bad spots man ship, but I'll be watching," I said to him before walking out of the stadium "(Y/n)!" I heard a familiar voice from behind me call out to me as I turned around as saw "Yaoyorozu, what you need?" I asked as she stopped beside me.

"I just wanted to say that you did great out there," she said as I just shrugged "Wasn't much, had to stop half way because of side affects," I said while walking as Yaoyorozu followed "What do you mean?" she asked as I responded "Water isn't my natural element, creating it takes up too much energy and using it even more," "What do you mean by natural element?" she asked as I got ready for many explanations to follow.  "My quirk is simular to a double edge sword, water gets stronger during the night while my fire gets stronger during the day, using the water half during day causes my body to feel weak and cramp up, doesn't help that fire is the first element I learnt to use," I said as I could tell she was thinking "What now?" I asked as she proceeded to ask.

"If you could only use Fire and Water, how did you redirect Denki's electricity?" She asked as I just chuckled "My fire has a branch off of lighting, this would include the ability to redirect it," I said as she proceeded to ask more questions and I proceeded to answer them all as we spent the entire break talking to each other and asking questions to one another before we separated and I waited out the break.
