Chapter III "Bring the Cavalry"

(Y/n) POV:

I was relaxing and leaning on the wall until I suddenly heard a large bang which caused me to open my eye's and see a large smoke cloud appear, I then looked towards the large screen and saw that Midoriya had made it past the mind field and had started running towards me as I got off the wall and he got closer.  He eventually ran passed me as I just walked behind him which enabled him to gain First while I came in second as Todoroki and Bakugo followed behind in third and fourth "Why *huff* did you *puff* let me *huff* win?" Midoriya asked as I just shrugged "I don't wanna win 'everything' I don't really care," I said while walking away as more and more students crossed the finish line.

After some time, Momo too crossed the finish line with her shirt unzipped which made me confused until I realized what was on her back, a small purpled haired person, just clinging to her "Oi, you need some help?" I asked Momo as she just nodded which I responded by using my water to grab the kid and throw him into the crowd while using my fire to turn the balls into ash.  "There you go, you can zip your shirt now," I said while walking away "Thank you," she said to me as I just shrugged my shoulders "Just returning the favor," I said as I waited for the next game to be announced.

~Short Time Skip~

"The First game for the First year's are finally over," Midnight started announcing "And what a great game it was, now let's take a look at the standings, shall we?" She said as our faces and place holding were shown before continuing to announce the next game as a screen appeared and started spinning while everyone waited in anticipation. Just then, it came to a stop and the words "Cavalry Battle" came on the screen "Allow me to explain," Midnight said as various images showed up to line up with what she was explaining as I just listened in from time to time but didn't pay much attention.

The only thing that did catch my attention was when she brought up a difference "But there is one difference," she explained "Each player has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course," she said as multiple students started putting two and two together "So that mean each team will have a different point value based on which students are on it," one said.  "MAYBE YOU SHOULD SHUT UP AND LET ME EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOU!!!" Midnight yelled which quickly shut them up "Now, point assignment go under influence of five starting from the bottom," she said as she started going under our point value's "And the point value assigned to the first place contestant is".

Just then, I looked towards the first place holding with Midoriya's name on it and saw the total amount of points he was worth "Ten million," Midnight said as everyone slowly looked towards Midoriya and I took a sign of relief on realizing what a bullet I dodged until Midnight announced something else "However, there is a special handicap for one student in particular," she said as I became confused.  "(Y/n) (L/n), since you completed the course so effortlessly, you will need to participate solo, without a team," she said as I looked towards Nezu and saw him smiling "How the hell does this even work? I can't play without a team," I protested but was quickly shot down "Figure it out," she said.

She then went over the rules as I was still stuck on how I could make my team work as an idea came to mind "Now you got fifteen minutes to build your teams, I recommend you get started," she announced as a timer started and everyone started talking to each other but mostly ignored me and Midoriya for obvious reasons 'My plan could work, but...," I thought to myself while experimenting with my quirk.

All Might POV:

I was looking at the multiple students until one caught my eye "Nezu, is that the kid you were talking about?" I said while pointing towards the kid with (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin "Indeed it is," Nezu said in conformation while keeping his smile "His name is (Y/n) (L/n)," he said which caught my attention "The kid that got the handicap?" I questioned as he just nodded.  I then looked back at him and saw as he was trying things with his quirk "What is his quirk?" I asked as Nezu just shrugged "We've only seen it in action against villains and even then he's been holding back, so even I myself don't know," He said as I looked back at him as the timer went off, signaling the start of the next game.

(Y/n) POV:

As a loud horn went off, I quickly went towards the arena and got my quick ready 'Alright, let's see if this work's,' I thought to myself as I pulled water from the air and used it to create three humanoide water entity's with hands and legs made of ice "God, this gonna affect me," I said to myself as they all got in position and as did I while receiving multiple stares from others.  "Let's get this party started, one final count down before the game starts!" Mic announced as he started counting down and with Midnight yelling "Begin!" as everyone immediately ran towards Midoriya with a couple running towards each other.

I too took an influence and ran after Midoriya just as I saw him fly into the air as I realized he had a jet back on 'Support course I'm guessing,' I thought to myself I then threw a fireball towards their direction only to be blocked by a bird like shadow 'I see, two can play at that game,' I then summoned a simias type of form, but instead made of water before using it to attack them.  I was then caught off guard by a student with blond hair trying to get my head back, but I quickly used my water human to extend his arm and block the guy from getting my head band "I may get caught off guard, but I don't get beaten easily," I said before creating a sphere of ice around me.

I then started thinking of multiple options I had until one came to mind 'If this wasn't gonna affect me before, it sure is now,' I then made the sphere into water and created multiple tentacles from it while extending them all towards different plays as I tried to snatch their head bands with some success and some failure and a couple of close call's from people trying to snatch mine.  I then put All the headbands I head and tied them around my neck while creating more water tentacles to defend myself while creating another sphere of ice for a shield while finally feeling the affect of my quirk "Oh God," I said to myself while ignoring the affects as I heard the announcement of the half way mark "Just a little longer," I said to myself as I continuously ignored the affects as they got stronger and stronger.
