Chapter XII "The Opposing Vigilance"

(Y/n) POV:

Me and Todoroki ran as fast as we could, Endeavor still somehow managing to out run while we tried to remain close behind him 'Didn't know old man can run this fast,' I thought to myself while trying to pick up the pace "Both of you keep up! I'll show you both what it means to be a true hero!" he announced.  Just before I spoke back however, both mines and Todo's phone buzzed out of no where, we both checked and saw it was a shared location from Midoriya 'Is he in trouble?' me and Todo looked at each other and nodded before quickly turning around and running towards the location "Where are you going!?" Endeavor yelled.

Without even turning, Todo responded "An alleyway at 4-2-10 Ekou Street! If you finish what you're doing or find any free pro's, send them there!" "We'll leave the heavy lifting up to you, we trust you can make it quick!" I followed up "Our friend might be in trouble..." he finished before we both kicked it into high gear and ran as fast as we could.

~Meanwhile, with Midoriya~

Midoriya POV:

I was standing only a few feet away from the Hero Killer, I quickly put my phone away after sending my location and continued our stand off 'Even without any proof, even if it was just a guess... I should've done whatever I could to get a pro to come with me,' I thought to myself while trying to calculate my next move. I looked at both Iida and the other pro hero who both couldn't move 'I'll protect the two who can't move and stall for time by myself, I'll try to drive the hero killer away if I can,' "Stop it!" Iida suddenly yelled "Run away! I told you, didn't I? It has nothing to do with you!" "If you say that, then hero's can't do anything!" I shouted back.

I clenched my fists, not taking my eyes off the hero killer as I spoke "Th... There are a lot of things I'd like to say, but I'll say them later," I put my fists up and got into a fighting stance "It's like what All Might said: Meddling when you don't need to... is the essence of being a hero," I calmed myself down, getting ready for the fight of my life. I was shaking from fear, but right now that didn't matter, what mattered was being able to save the people I need to, as the hero killer simply smiled at me and laughed a little, and at that same moment, I charged at him head first.

"Good..." he whispered under his breath while swinging his Katana at me 'Get close to him in one move...' I quickly activated one for all "No! If you get cut-," Iida yelled 'Now then...' I ducked underneath his katana and the knife he tried to strike me with, slipping under his legs in one quick movement. He tried to turn and strike me with his katana again, but by then I had already moved and was over him "Five percent Detroit... Smash!" I yelled before throwing my punch and delivering an overhead blow on him, striking before going over and managing to stick the landing 'Did it work? Full Cowing worked! I can fight!' I thought to myself while looking back up.

The hero killer was simply smiling before being his katana up to his face and licking it 'Wh...' just then, I felt my body freeze 'My body...' I managed to get my eyes to look around my body and seeing a small cut in my suit 'Did he graze me? Such a small graze made me unable to move?' I questioned myself before looking at the hero killer who was already standing again. I looked at his blade and saw a small sliver of my blood on it 'No... I see... it's blood!' I finally figured out "It wasn't powerful enough," he suddenly spoke "It's not that you saw through my movements, You left my field of vision and maneuvered so that you would definitely bring me down," he explained.

He then started walking away from me and towards Iida "That was what your movements were like... people who talk are a dime a dozen, but you are worth letting live," he said while getting closer and closer to Iida "You're different from these guys," he explained before pulling out his katana and aiming it at Iida's head 'Damn it...' I though to myself, trying to get my body to move, but to no prevail. "Stop it!" I yelled before he slowly brought his blade up "Stop it...!" I yelled again, but he wasn't listening, until suddenly, a mixture or orange and white fire was launched at him, making him move and saving Iida just in time.
