Chapter XV "Final Exams"

(Y/n) POV:

'I'm smart... I'm pretty smart... I'm good at everything and preform pretty well in all subjects.... BUT WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL IS THIS?!,' my thoughts raced in my head as I looked down at a paper of problems I was using to study "...I guess I'ma just fail," I laid my head on my desk and silently groaned in annoyance.  I then heard as someone knocked on my door "Come in..." I said in a sulking tone as my mom walked inside "You okay?" she asked as I simply shook my head "I'm gonna fail terribly... not to mention my lighting bending still hasn't returned despite my meditations," I sighed and sat straight up.

I continued to sulk to myself quietly until feeling a whip from the side of my head "Ow! What was that for?!" I looked at my mom who was putting water back into a bottle "You've always landed top ten flawlessly in tests before and after UA; with you, there's no getting any lower," she explained "...Kinda sounds like an insult-," "Just get ready for school," she cut me off while leaving my room. I sighed and got up and got dressed into my uniform, gathering my things and heading out of my house and started walking down the street 'I'm gonna fail this so damn hard...' I thought to myself while walking.

~Large Time Skip~

The bell rung and I gave an exhausted sigh "Okay, that's it for class," Aizawa said while collecting organizing our tests "There's only one week left until the Final exams, you all are studying properly, right? I'm sure you already know, but it won't just be a written exam, there's also a practical component, make sure you train your minds and bodies at the same time... That's all," Aizawa explained before leaving. Immediately after he closed the door, I let my head drop and slam against my desk as Mina and Kaminari spoke about how they didn't study "I hate my life..." I sighed "Why? Didn't you get seventh on the midterms?" Yaoyorozu asked while facing me "Even if I did, there isn't really anything besides that..." I admitted while sitting straight up in my seat.

Yaoyorozu gave a small smile "If you wish, I may be able to be of assistance with the class lectures," she offered before slowly letting her head down "I can't help at all with the practical, though..." she admitted, making me smile and chuckle before patting her back "No worries, I'm more brawn then brain, so a study session might do me good," I admitted myself.  This made Yaoyorozu light up and she brightened up even more as others started asking if they could participate in the study session as well, which in turn made me smile; that was until my phone started ringing and I checked the number before freezing in place.

I knew Yaoyorozu noticed because her glowing stopped and she faced me with concern "Are you okay?" she asked with a worried tone "Y-Yeah, just gotta take this real quick," I responded while standing up and exiting the class, standing behind the door and looking down at my phone in my hands ringing.  I took a deep breath and answered the call before bringing the phone to my ear  "Hello... Sis," I quietly said "Hey! (Y/n)! Miss me?!" she yelled into my ear, making me have to pull back a little before bringing the phone back to my ear "A lot, yeah, but uh... I assume you're not calling just to check in, huh?" I asked.

Silence followed for a little before I heard her response "Just as sharp as ever! I'm actually calling because a little birdie told me you were having some... electrical issues," "Ah! So Mom called you?" I immediately realized "Well... don't tell her I told you! She told me to keep it a secret!" she yelled again "Yeah, Yeah, well just to inform you, I'm perfectly fine!" I managed to respond. There was silence for a bit before she spoke again "You know about the Practical Exam, right?" she suddenly asked "Yeah? What about it?" I asked "Apparently they say it's being done just like the entrance exam, with bots," she explained.
