Chapter XVI "Burning Flames"

(Y/n) POV:

I watched Tsuyu's and Tokoyami's test with great intensity, taking into account every factor and visible weaknesses that the weights may cause other than simply slowing them all down, which wasn't easy since they both immediately fled from the large amount of clones which was pretty understandable to say the least.  They moved effectively, clearly having planned such an escape out beforehand "Communication skills, in this society, it's a simple but important skill for heroes to have," I heard Recovery girl speak while entering the room "More than being able to pull off the perfect team play with a specific sidekick, it's better to be able to achieve a certain standard with anyone," she explained.

I let that sentence run in my head for a little, thinking about it closely while watching Tsuyu's and Tokoyami's exam 'Communication, huh?' I asked myself as the pair were then surrounded by even more clones, this time deciding to fight back a bit, but were only surrounded even more, pushing them to escape the situation.  While going down a hall they fought a few more clones and came across the exit point, meeting Ectoplasm at the front gate, only for him to create a giant clone of himself and attack directly at where they were 'Well shit,' I thought to myself while seeing that they were both caught in his clone.

Tokoyami still attempted to fight back with Dark Shadow, but Ectoplasm simply kicked and dodged its attacks, that was when Tsu did something... strange "Did she just..." I attempted to ask myself to question what I just saw was real, and soon got my answer as Dark Shadow took the object from her.   Dark Shadow then rushed in for a final ditch attempt in winning, winding up a punch which Ectoplasm also rushed forward towards before they then connected, and when Dark Shadow flung back. it was revealed that he had put the handcuffs on his peg leg 'I... guess that counts?' "Team Asui and Tokoyami have passed!" the announcer voice said.

~Short Time Skip~

Up came Iida and Ojiro against Power Loader who had them stuck in the center of a large dirt field which was riddled with pitfalls, however, they seemed to come up with a solution by having Iida carry Ojiro as a pig back ride, in which Iida started running with his Reciproburst, outrunning the pitfalls as he ran.  Power Loader then came up from in front of them, breaking the floor in front of them and pretty much screwing them over, but Iida thought quickly and jumped into the air and in a smart move launched Ojiro at Power Loader before simply bouncing off him and making it out the exit gate, passing the exam.

~Short Time Skip~

Next came Yaoyorozu's match which I was really interested in seeing as they were placed into a large city against a hero that thrives in stealth and can erase their quirks, which was gonna be interesting to see how they dealt with such a threat 'Even despite the threats, I'm sure Yaoyorozu's got it covered,' I assured myself. The horn then sounded "Team Todoroki and Yaoyorozu, Practical exam, ready, go!" the announcer said, marking the beginning of Yaoyorozu's test, and they immediately started moving through alleys and Yaoyorozu started using her quirk repeatedly, but I could tell something was off with her.

They simply ran around the city, probably trying the find the exit before suddenly stopping and starting to talk before their quirks suddenly deactivated 'Not their smartest move...' I sighed to myself as they were then caught off guard and Yaoyorozu ran while Todoroki was quickly tied and hung from the cables. Aizawa then threw a few caltrops to ensure Todoroki stays hung before putting in his eye drops and quickly running to find Yaoyorozu who was running quickly with a troubled look on her face as Aizawa started catching up '...C'mon Yao... you got something up your sleeve, I know you do,' I convinced myself that she had a way out this situation.
