Chapter V "Game continues"

(Y/n) POV:

During the break, I really couldn't relax, every second I remember my mistake of not going for the headband is another second I spend sending fire into the air out of pure anger, I eventually had to stop and try to calm down as many people were starting to give me stares, but I really couldn't help it. I was just about to send another fire ball into the air until I suddenly heard my stomach growl and I realized I used up all my stamina 'Wasn't like I was gonna need it,' I then proceeded to walk to the cafeteria and eat a little while trying to wait out break, but it was hard to from the stares the others were giving me.

I was finally able to finish my food and just as I put the tray back an announcement went off "Get those thumb figures in the air, it's almost time for the last round!" present mic announced as everyone got up and moved towards the arena and I reluctantly followed along 'Least I made it this far,' we then got to the stadium and waited for the next game to be announced. "But before that!" mic said "Good news for anyone that didn't make the finals, since this is a sports festival, we've prepared some super fun side games, everyone can participate in," he said as I just sighed in disappointment "God fucking damnit," I said to myself while waiting for him to continue.

"We even brought in cheerleaders from america to get your blood pumping!" 'It'll get some people's blood pumping, that's for sure,' just then I looked around and saw that all the girls form Class 1-A were also wearing the uniforms "Looks like class 1-A is going full on fan service!" Mic said as I saw kid with yellow hair and the same kid with purple hair smiling at each other and the pieces suddenly came together. I then walked over to the two and glared at both of them "Are you guys always like this?" I asked as I saw shivers quickly go down their spine, but I then looked again towards the girls to see that they didn't care and were planning to just go with it "No one likes a pervert, so fix up that attitude," I said to them before walking away.

"Have fun competing in these little side games everyone!" Mic announced "After there over, the sixteen students from the top four teams will be duking it out, one on one, in a tournament style fighting competition," he said as I only felt even more disappointed and even more worse about my mistake. Everyone so far was just talking about how they were gonna get to fight and how amazing the fights will be, but I was just ready to burn the whole place to the ground "Come closer and draw lots to see who your up against, then enjoy the pleasure of the recreational games before we start," Midnight said while holding a lot box.

"The sixteen finalists have the option to participate in those activities or siting out to prepare for battle, I'm sure you all want to preserve your stamina," she said as I could tell everyone was getting ready "I'll start with the first place team-," "Um... excuse me," I heard a kid with a tail say while cutting off Midnight. He had a weirdly disappointed look before saying "Sorry... but I'm withdrawing," this caught me and everyone by surprise he then started stating on how he didn't do much during the fight and wanted to earn his spot with on his own rather then being someone's puppet to succeed, which only made me respect him by a large amount.

Just then, a kid form class 1-B spoke up with the same excuse, that he didn't want to earn his spot by being controlled and they both waited for Midnights judgment "This sort of talk is incredibly naive my boys... That turns me on!" she said which caught me off guard "Shota, Ojiro, your withdrawn," she finished as I was still left in confusion 'Is she allowed to say this?' just the she continued. "Now let's see," she said while looking around "we have to move up two students, one from the fifth place team, and the other from the sixth," she said as I suddenly realized what this meant "That means the (Y/n) (L/n) advances!" she said as happiness and excitement filled me.

"FUCK YEA!!" I yelled while the other student was being chose "We were frozen most of the time, honestly we barely did anything in the cavalry battle," the leader of team six said before continuing with "You should chose from the group that kept fighting the whole time, team tetsutetsu," she said while facing a kid with silver hair and looked similar to the red haired kid from my class. They eventually decided that the kid named Tetsutetsu would be the one to advance, but I didn't care as now that I was in the fight, things were about to get heated as I slowly glared at Todoroki, who did the same to me.

"Take a look at the bracket my dears, these are your opponents," she said as a bracket appeared on the large screen and different names showed up, I took a look and saw that I was up against a kid named Denki Kaminari, I didn't really know who he was, but I didn't care, if I could take them down, it didn't matter who I was against.  Everyone else got to know the people they were up against and I simply left the crowd as the recreational games were starting and I didn't plan on participating, but rather to get ready for whatever element I needed to use 'Water or fire, doesn't matter, I'll win,' was the last thought running through my head as the games started and I got to training.

~Time skip~

Eventually the games came to an end and the fighting plat form was built as I headed back towards the arena, ready for whatever came, I went towards a seating area as my fight wasn't till later and the first fight was Shinso and Midoriya, I took a seat and waited for the match to begin as both walked onto the stadium and got ready to fight.  I saw that Shinso was trying to agitate Midoriya, as he was starting to bad mouth Ojiro until Midoriya suddenly started charging at him, but he suddenly stopped and Midoriya's expression went blank which made me confused, I then looked towards his opponent and saw that he had a cocky smile and I realized what he was doing... Mind control.
