After my shift I went home and got right in the shower. I tried to convince crystal to come home with me but she didn't want to. She said she still had rounds to make. All of our sex breaks were cutting into her time so now she has to make up for it.
I was thinking about calling Morris jusg to see if he got out of jail. A part of me already knows that Zena bailed him out I just wish she didn't. I know that she loves him they've been together for a while. They even had a healthy and normal relationship but after a Nicole came into the picture, their relationship was never the same.
My last relationship kind of resembled Morris and Zena. A lot of love and two passionate people. But sometiems if there is too much passion it can cause a lot of friction. My ex girlfriend, Lauren was very emotionally invested and sometimes we would argue because the things she thought needed all or energy didn't. We wasted a lot of our time on petty situations and arguments. I couldn't talk to any female without being accused of cheating. It was downhill from there. Once trust is broken you can't have a relationship.
I'm trying to assure Crystal that she can let her guard down with me. She said she has trust issues but I think she trusts me enough to know how much I care about her. I didn't think that I would like her this much but I do. Everything kind of happened fast so I'm just trying to take my time and really get to know her for who she is.
"Devale after my internship is done do you think that Dr. Glover will consider me an actual surgeon?" Michael asked as he kick his feet up on my coffee table.
"First of all get your feet off my table. Second of all, Dr. Glover is a man of actions. Surgery is more than just a certificate or a degree it's a lifesaving skill and it's important." I tell Michael.
"I know but I'm just trying to make my parents proud and my auntie. They're counting on me." Michael said.
"Don't do it for them, do it for yourself. Make yourself proud." I advise him.
"Thanks bro, ya know you'd make a great chief." Michael said standing up.
I walked into the kitchen to avoid that conversation but all he did was follow me.
"You heard me?" Ge asked.
"Yes I heard you." I said softly. "And I'm ignoring you." I said.
He smacked his lips. "Everyone thinks youre going to get the position. Even though there are a dozen doctors with way more seniority." Michael said.
I shake my head. "I know that. I applied but I'm not expecting to get it." I tell Michael.
"And Crystal too. I heard she's been assisting Dr. Whitfield." He told me.
"Yeah don't get me wrong Crystal is a good doctor but she's not ready to be a surgeon." I say shaking my head.
Michael smacked his lips. "I don't know." He said. "That girl is cold." He said.
