"What happened is everything okay?" I ask rushing into the ER.
Crystal walked up to me and put her hands on my chest.
"I'm fine." She said.
I took a breath of relief. I got a call about somebody being in the ER and I started thinking the worst things possible. Mostly about Crystal and the baby. I needed to come and make sure everything was good.
"What's going on?" I ask her.
"It's Zena. She tried to kill herself. We pumped her stomach right in time but she's not doing too well." Crystal informs me.
I sigh deeply and rub my hands over my face.
"I just talked to her earlier. She was upset but she didn't seem suicidal." I tell Crystal.
"Devale I'm sure it had nothing to do with you." She said trying to make me feel better.
She pulled her gloves off and threw them away in the nearest garbage can.
"How'd she get to the hospital?" I ask curiously.
Without saying anything, Crystal looked to the left and nodded her head towards Morris who was on the phone with somebody. He looked like he was trying to explain what had happened to somebody.
"He found her. That's what he said." Crystal said sounding confused.
"What's wrong? You don't believe him?" I ask crossing my arms.
"I don't know." Crystal said.
"I'm going to talk to him." I told her making her roll her eyes.
"I don't think right now is a good time." She said trying to stop me.
I wave her off and continued walking to the waiting area.
"Morris." I called out.
He looked at me and held his finger up.
"Let me call you back." He said to whoever was on the phone. He hung up and put his phone in his pocket.
"I don't know why she would do this." He said shaking her head.
"What were you doing at her apartment?" I ask him.
"She texted me and said she was upset. Something about you and Crystal, I don't know. I never got the full story." He said shaking his head. "I'm gonna go check on her." Morris walked away without saying anything else.
When he left Crystal came over. I could tell something was bothering her but she wasn't saying it.
"I just don't believe his story." She said alarming me.
"You think he did something to her?" I ask her.
"Yes and I don't know what. I just don't believe that Zena would try to kill herself."
