After a couple hours Ruby woke up, squinting from the dull lighting from the lamp- her eyes scanned the area, stopping once she saw the monitor and IV drip.
With a huff she took it off the hook, forcing herself to stand on shaky legs as she made her way towards the office, hearing John B's voice.
John B looked over and paused as he saw Ruby, quickly helping her sit down, " you need rest" he said and she shook her head no, " we gotta get the gold.." she mumbled and he sighed, "it's over Rubes" he said, " no- we still have time" she said and tilted her head towards the clock.
He sighed and reluctantly allowed her to take out her IV- Sarah practically running after Ruby as she was already out the door.
Ruby held onto the wall to stabilize herself as she walked to the car the doctor allowed them to use- she only had one thing on her mind right now and that was getting home.
She allowed Sarah to help her into the back seat, being careful of her shoulder as she helped her in.
Ruby closed her eyes, still exhausted as John B began to drive- she wondered if JJ would immediately take her back, or if he had someone else on his mind..
She jolted herself awake, her heart racing with adrenaline at the thought of him wanting someone else.
She nibbled her bottom lip nervously as she saw all the cops around Terrance's boat- they weren't anywhere in sight either.
" drive- JB drive!" She yelled as the cops noticed them- the sickening feeling she had only grew worse as he sped off.
She glanced out the window, not realizing he wasn't paying attention until she heard the loud thud, her eyes widening as she realized her brother had just hit someone with the car.
" go help them!" Sarah scolded and slapped at his arm, both of them watching as he scurried out of the car, a sigh of relief was shared as it was just Cleo.
" you're alive!" Cleo cheered and hugged Ruby once she got in- Ruby only giving her a slight smile and salute from how exhausted she was.
Once it was night time Cleo showed them where the Cameron's boat was hidden, John B picking Ruby up and setting her on it.
She frowned as Cleo just stood there, " you aren't coming?" Ruby asked and Cleo shook her head no, " You three are so hot I'm better on my own" she said with a laugh.
They all froze as an officer stood on the docks, Ruby cringing as she held up her hands.
She looked over at John B and he shook his head, motioning for her to stay quiet.
Her eyes widened as Cleo tackled the officer, John B not hesitating to start the boat and drive off as they dodged the bullets the officer fired.
Ruby let out an exhausted breath and leaned against Sarah as she closed her eyes.
Next stop was home.
