Chapter Twenty Seven

John B parked the Twinkie outside of Tannyhill, everyone getting out and going over to the stone wall.

Sarah said she would go and investigate, Sage automatically saying she would join her, making John B have an almost longing look.

Ruby leaned against the wall, smirking at JJ to which he pouted, already knowing she was going to win the bet. Again.

John B ran to catch up with Sage, gently grabbing her by the arm and turning her to face him.

" Sage wait- please.." John B pled, slightly out of breath, " what do you want?" Sage questioned and he looked down for a moment.

" Us Sae.. I want us back.." He said quietly," we're literally on a mission right now and you want to talk about relationship problems??" Sage said and he cringed, understanding how bad that sounded.

" I just- I miss you-" he started but was cut off by her lips on his, " does that answer you?" She asked and he nodded with wide eyes, " and yea, I want this back" she said and took the piece of the bandanna back, tying it around her neck.

" told ya.." Ruby said as John B came back, " yea yea.." JJ murmured and pulled her against his side, kissing the top of her head.

But suddenly Sage and Sarah were doing the exact opposite of the plan, starting to go inside the house- Ruby trying not to laugh as John B did a pathetic attempt at a bird call.

" what the fuck was that?" She asked, one small laugh escaping, " I'm panicking!" John B whisper yelled.

" god fuck it." JJ huffed, putting his hat on backwards, making Ruby practically drool, ready to drop to her knees right then and there.

He started to climb up the wall, turning and holding his hand out for her, of course she didn't hesitate to put her hand in his and climb up.

Only they both froze as headlights were suddenly on them, the two sharing a look and nodding, they knew exactly what to do.

He helped her down off the wall, both of them already having their plan in mind as they prepared themselves.

The two quickly found a rhythm, their lie perfectly adding up while John B and Pope looked at them like they were insane.

But for now it seemed to work so they let JJ and Ruby do what they do best. Lie.

" What kind of flowers are those..?" The man asked and JJ and Ruby shared a look, " that's uh.. That's natural viagra.." JJ blurted out," just one whiff and bam! It's go time!" Ruby rushed out in a panic.

That made the old man leave, both of them sighing in relief before climbing the wall again, looking for Sage and Sarah.

But they didn't notice Pope running after Rafe's truck, but what they did see was Sage and Sarah being loaded into the back of Rose's car.

The three of them ran after her car, trying to catch up but it was no use, she was driving too fast. Sage and Sarah had officially been kidnapped.
