Wyatt and I sat down to discuss our plans for the wedding. I was nervous, not because I was unsure about getting married to Wyatt, but because I knew that my family wouldn't be coming to the wedding.
"We should have the wedding soon to wrap things up," Wyatt said, breaking me out of my thoughts. "Then my parents won't have to worry."
I smiled, grateful for his reassurance. "That's a good idea," I replied.
"We can just have friends and family," he continued. "Will your family be coming?"
I hesitated, unsure of how to answer. "I'll have to ask them," I said, although I knew that they wouldn't be coming. They didn't know about my new life, and I wasn't about to tell them.
Wyatt must have sensed my hesitation, because he put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry about it," he said. "I'll plan out the whole wedding and make it perfect."
I felt a sense of relief wash over me. "Thank you," I said, leaning into him.
Over the next few weeks, we finalised our plans for the wedding. Wyatt had taken charge of most of the preparations, and I was happy to let him handle it. He had a knack for planning and organising, and he wanted everything to be perfect for our big day.
As soon as Wyatt and I decided to have the wedding, I knew I needed to find the perfect dress. I called up Mik, my closest friend, and asked her if she would be my maid of honour.
"Olive, I would be honoured to be your maid of honour! This is so exciting!" Mik exclaimed over the phone.
"I'm so glad you're excited about it, Mik," I said, smiling.
"Of course I am, Olive. I wouldn't miss this for the world. When are you thinking of having the wedding?"
"We're thinking of having it soon, so that Wyatt's parents don't have to worry. But we haven't set a date yet."
"Okay, well let's get started on finding that perfect dress then!" Mik said, her enthusiasm palpable.
We decided to start our search the next day. We went from one bridal shop to another, trying on different dresses. But none of them seemed to be the one.
"Ugh, I'm starting to lose hope," I sighed, feeling defeated.
"Don't worry, Olive. We'll find the perfect dress," Mik reassured me.
Just when I was about to give up, Mik spotted a small boutique. "Olive, let's try that place. It looks cute."
We entered the boutique, and I was immediately struck by how intimate and cozy it felt. The owner, a friendly woman named Maria, greeted us warmly.
"Hello, ladies. Welcome to Maria's Bridal Boutique. What can I help you with today?" she asked.
"We're looking for a wedding dress for my friend, Olive. She's getting married soon," Mik explained.
"Well, you've come to the right place. We have a wide selection of beautiful dresses. What style are you looking for?"
I explained that I wanted something simple, yet elegant. Maria suggested a few dresses, but none of them felt quite right.
"Let me show you something else," Maria said, disappearing into the back of the store.
A few moments later, she emerged with a dress in hand. "This is a new arrival, and I think it might be perfect for you."
I tried on the dress, and as soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I knew that this was the one. It was an off-shoulder style, and the delicate beading and embroidery added just the right amount of glamour.
As I stepped out of the dressing room, Mik's eyes widened. "Olive, that dress is stunning. You look amazing in it!"
"I love it," I said, admiring myself in the mirror.
The dress hugged my curves perfectly, but it wasn't too tight, allowing room for my growing baby bump. Maria helped me accessorise with a simple pearl necklace and earrings.
"That's the one," I said, feeling tears well up in my eyes.
Maria and Mik both gave me a tight hug. "You look absolutely beautiful, Olive," Maria said, beaming.
I knew that I had found the perfect dress for my special day, and I couldn't wait to walk down the aisle in it.

The day I had been eagerly anticipating had finally arrived. I woke up early, my heart racing with excitement. Today was the day I would marry the love of my life, Wyatt.

Mik and I spent the morning getting ready. My hair was styled in loose curls, and I wore a natural, soft makeup look. Mik helped me into my stunning ivory dress, and my heart skipped a beat as I caught my reflection in the mirror. Everything felt surreal.
As we walked towards the church, I felt a mix of emotions. Nervousness, excitement, and happiness all blended together inside of me. I took a deep breath and reminded myself of the love I shared with Wyatt.
As I walked down the aisle, I noticed that everyone was staring at me with awe. But all I could focus on was Wyatt. He was smiling at me with so much love and joy that it made my heart swell with happiness.
We exchanged vows, and I felt tears of joy streaming down my face. Finally, the priest declared, "You may now kiss the bride."
As Wyatt leaned in to kiss me, I closed my eyes and savoured the moment. It was like the rest of the world had disappeared, and it was just us.
After the ceremony, we headed to the reception venue, where we were met with the cheers and applause of our loved ones. The rest of the day was a blur of laughter, dancing, and celebration. Wyatt and I danced together, and I felt like I was on top of the world. It was truly the best day of my life.
As the night drew to a close, I looked around at the smiling faces of my friends and family. In that moment, I knew that I had made the right decision. Marrying Wyatt and starting a new life with him was the best thing that had ever happened to me.

As I sit here in my backyard watching my children play, I can't help but reflect on how far I have come. It's been a few years since Wyatt and I got married, and it feels like a lifetime ago that I was living a completely different life. I never thought I could be this happy, but here I am, with a loving husband and three beautiful children.
Emma, our eldest, is now seven years old and a bright and curious child. She reminds me so much of myself when I was younger, always asking questions and wanting to know more about the world around her. Our twins, Talia and Aiden, are now two years old and constantly keeping us on our toes. They are the light of our lives, always bringing a smile to our faces with their silly antics.
Mik and Flynn are also doing well, happily married for the past three years. It's amazing how our lives have changed since that fateful day when I first met Wyatt. I never would have imagined that I would end up living in this small town, surrounded by such wonderful people who have become my family.
Wyatt's family has been a constant source of support for us, and they even bought us a beautiful house in their hometown. It's a cozy little place, perfect for raising our children, and I feel so grateful to have a place to call home.
Sometimes I think back to my old life, wondering what could have been if I hadn't taken that first step towards a new beginning. But then I look at my family, at the life that Wyatt and I have built together, and I know that I wouldn't change a thing.
We celebrated our anniversary last week, and it was the best day of my life. We took the kids to the beach, and we spent the whole day playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean. Later that night, we had a small party at our house with our closest friends and family. It was a simple celebration, but it was filled with so much love and joy.
As I watch my children play, I can't help but feel grateful for everything that has happened in my life. I know that there will be challenges along the way, but I also know that I have the love and support of my family to help me through anything that comes my way. And for that, I am truly blessed.
