•Carlita's POV•

The sun felt nice on my back, laying on my stomach on my towel, I had my sun glasses on my face, my head rested on my arm, all I felt was pure bliss. It's not everyday I get to enjoy the sunlight dancing on my skin.

The boys were not being very secretive, as their burning eyes were on Beverly and I the entire time. I turned my head in their direction just a little bit, making all heads turn away, trying their best to act casual, but they all failed miserably, their red tinted ears, and their blushing cheeks gave them away.

I laughed softly shaking my head, I sat up straight, Beverly turned on her stomach, her focus on the boys.

"News flash Ben, school's out for summa!" Richie states, talking into an imaginary microphone, going through Ben's bag.

"Oh, that? That's not school stuff." Ben told him, Richie took out what looked like a postcard, inspecting it. "Who sent you this?" Richie asks, being the nosy person he is. "No one. Give it..." Ben grabbed it, putting it back in his bag, I didn't miss his eyes glancing over to Beverly.

"No one." Ben says more calmly. Richie took out one of the folders going through it, forgetting about the card. "What's with the history project?" Richie asks curiously.

"Oh..."

Richie passes the folder to Bill, I got up, and sat down close to Bill, our arms touching, he turned to look at me, his cheeks turned red once again, he looked back to the folder.

"When I first moved here, I didn't have anyone to hang out with, so I just started spending time in the library." Ben told us.

"You went to the library? On purpose?" Richie asks, not sounding all that impressed, but Richie is the one person you'll never catch near a library. "Oh, I wanna see." Beverly says, standing up, sitting between Ben and Bill.

"What's the blackspot?" Stanley asks.

"It was a nightclub that got burned to the ground years ago by some racist cult or something." I told him, remembering I saw it somewhere before.

"You're absolutely be-beautiful." Bill whispers close to my ear, so that only I could hear, hiding behind my hair, shyly staring at him through my locks of hair.

"The what?" Stanley asks confused.

"Don't you watch Geraldo?" Eddie answers him with a question. "Here, pass it." Richie asks holding out his hand for the folder. Bill hands it over, Richie went through it again.

"Why is it all murders and missing kids?" Richie asks Ben. "Derry's not like any town I've ever been in before. They did a study once, and it turns out people die or disappear six times the national average." Ben says, "You read that?" Beverly asks curiously.

"And that's just grown ups, kids are worse. Way, way worse." Ben told them, that had my attention, we were aware of kids going missing, I never knew how many were actually missing or disappeared, it had me wondering what else the Hanscom boy had discovered.

"I've got more stuff, if you wanna see it." Ben points out, looking at each of us. Eddie was the only one disagreeing on going, shaking his head.
