🎈CHAPTER 32🎈

°Carlita's POV°

With a lot of struggle I finally made it to the Inn, when I entered Beverly was sitting on the stairs, when she saw me, she got up in a hurry.

"What happened to you?" She asks looking at my face, she looked at my clothes, which was  full of dirt. "I fell down, when I was walking by the barrens." I half lied to her.

The door opened grabbing our attention, Ben was the one that entered at that moment. "Guys?" He called out.

"Hey." Bev spoke up, he quickly walked to where we were. "So, what did you see out there?" Ben asks, he seemed out of it, like whatever he saw, it shook him up pretty badly. "Something I wish I hadn't." Beverly says, putting it nicely.

"A big tree monster." I stated sarcastically.

"Is that why you look like that?" Ben asks pointing at my appearance.

"Pretty much, yeah." I stated. He sat down next to Beverly. "So what, we just... We kill it, and then we just forget everything again?" Ben asks.

"I hope so. Don't you?" Beverly asks.

"There's things I don't want to forget,  and there's things I don't want to remember." I muttered looking down.

"I don't know, I guess I want to hold on to the good stuff, you know?" Ben says, Beverly only staring at him. "Mmm-hmm."

"Come on. There must be something from the past that you don't want to forget again." Ben says to her, her expression didn't change at all. "I remember being scared shitless." She says.

"Cold."

Beverly started laughing as she spoke up, "I remember you guys in your tightly whities."

"Okay. Please forget that moment." Ben states in embarrassment, it had me smiling, seeing these two, I was really still rooting for them. "I remember this." Beverly says unfolding a post card, the same post card Ben snuck into her back at the quarry.

"I remember the boy I thought wrote it to me, but it actually turned out to be someone else, I was never able to find out who it was tho." Beverly says, not realising he was actually sitting right next to her, staring at the side of her face lovingly.

Richie suddenly came walking in, he seemed to be in a hurry. "Move, move." He says walking past us, up the stairs. "Rich, what's wrong?" I asked as he walked passed me.

"I'm leaving." Was all he said, not looking at any of us.

"What? You can't leave, man. We split, we all die." Ben says after him, he turned around, looking towards us. "Yeah, I'll take my chances. We're gonna die, anyway." Richie says, disappearing from our sights.

"Rich. Um..."

Ben ran upstairs following Richie, Beverly following right after the two, I decided to just stay down here, seeing as I was still holding on tightly to the small chest.

After a little while, Eddie came speed walking in, covered in some weird substance. "Eddie, what the hell happened to you?" I questioned him.

"Nothing. I'm fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine." Eddie says with a straight face, also disappearing upstairs, Bill also came in at that very moment.

"Hey, how you doing? Where's everybody else?" Bill asks stopping infront of me.

"Well, Richie wants to leave. Ben and Beverly's upstairs trying to get him to stay. Eddie just got here before you, probably busy taking a shower, and completely scared. I mean I'm scared too, aren't you?" I asked him, looking into his eyes, but he did the unexpected, pulling me into a hug.

"We can do this, but we have to stick together." Bill says, pulling away, but his hands were resting on my waist. Staring straight at his eyes, it was as if another memory came flashing through my brain, my breathing started getting heavy as I kept looking into those eyes of his.

My hand suddenly got grabbed stopping me in my tracks, he turned me around, connecting our lips, l stare up at him shocked after he pulled away, placing my hands on his cheek, I pulled him into another kiss, this one more gentle.

"Wait for me." He whispers against my lips I stared up at him, nodding my head. "I promise." I told him, before walking away leaving him behind.

I couldn't react as his lips touched mine, it made me feel exactly the way it did back then, like I was floating on a cloud, thousands of feelings running through my body, as I kissed him back.

Why I was never able to last in a relationship, was all because of a promise I have forgotten, it all started making sense, my brain still held on to that promise for 27 years, even if it means I could end up dying alone.

There were so many feelings poured into the kiss, from both sides, I didn't want this moment to end. We pulled away, staring at each other, not saying anything.

A skateboard rolling down the stairs, interupted our moment, we took a big step back. "Should we run or?" I asked uncertain of what to do. "This is Derry. I'm kinda getting used to it." Bill admits, taking another step back.

Bill grabs the rack, where you can hang your coats, when the board finally came to a stop, walking towards it slowly. Weird liquid was floating upwards from under the board. When Bill got closer, he slammed it first, then flipped the board over.

'Wont be there for him either.' was written on it.

"Bill, what does that mean?" I asked, scared of what Pennywise was up too this time.

"Shit. It's the kid." Bill says in frustration.

"What are you talking?" I asked Bill confused.

"It's the kid from the place. The Chinese place. I saw him on the way here. He lives at my old house. He was going to the fair, and..." Bill suddenly stopped talking, an expression on his face, I didn't like one bit.

"He's going to the fair. I have to help him." Bill says, starting to walk towards the door, I tried to stop him. "Okay, that's fine. We can go together. We can get the others, and we can go." I told him.

"Carli, there's no time. I can't let it happen again." Bill says, he looked ready to cry.

"What happened back then, it wasn't your fault Bill." I tried telling him. "I wish that were true, Carli. You lost your brother because of me." He says, walking around me, and out the doors in a hurry.

"Bill! Carlita!" Ben calls from upstairs, he came running down in a hurry. "What is this? What happened?" He asks, seeing it was only me down here.

"Uh... Bill just left in a hurry, I tried stopping him, but I wasn't strong enough. Everybody seems to be leaving." I told him, I was feeling like a nervous wreck.

"It's all right. It's Bill. He'll be back. He'll come back. Well, at least we got Richie to stay." Ben tells me.

"That's good." I say, still worried for Bill, who just stormed out of the door.

"Guys." Eddie yells from upstairs, making us run upstairs to find Eddie struggling to walk, with blood running down his cheeks, I couldn't help but scream out, at the sight. "Jesus, Eds. What the hell?" Ben asks.

"Bowers is in my room." Eddie says, glass shattering not that long after that. Ben ran to his room, I stayed with Eddie, so I could clean his wound.

"Is it bad?" Eddie questions, I only shook my head as I carefully wiped the blood off his face, with a lot of difficulty I was able to clean it completely,  and cover it nicely.

"Where did you learn all this first aid?" Eddie asks afterwards, I gave him a small smile. "My niece and nephew hurts themselves a lot." Was all I told him.
