°Carlita's POV°

Turning my bag over into the trash can, watching my books fall out of it, it was the greatest of feelings ever.

"Best feeling ever!" Stanley sighs out in satisfaction. Richie turned to look at the Uris boy, with a smirk on his face. "Yeah? Try tickling your pickle for the first time." he says. I only stared at him with disgust, he always just shared a little to much.

"Hey, what do you guys wanna do tomorrow?" Eddie asks putting his bag on his back.

"I start my training." Richie points out.

"Training?" I ask confused, wondering what in the world he could possibly be training for. "Street fighter, unless you have a better idea for a training exercise, babe." Richie says flirtatiously, leaning towards me.

There's times I think he does it just to piss off Bill, I've caught him glaring at him, but I never thought much of it.

"Is that how you wanna spend your summer?  Inside of an arcade?" Eddie asks, sounding disappointed that his best friend wanna be inside a building the entire summer.

"Beats spending it inside of your mother. Oh!" Richie says trying to get a high five from Stanley, only  getting rejected, when the boy puts his hand down for him. "What if we go to the quarry?" Stanley suggests. "Guys, we have the b-b-barrens." Bill spoke up, my heart clenched as I remember why we had to go there in the first place.

"Right."

The air was fulled with thick awkwardness, as we all just glanced at each other.

"Betty Ripsom's mom." Eddie spoke up, I turned around to see the woman looking up at the school sadly and hopefully, the police also standing close to the woman.

"Is she really expecting to see her come out of the school?" Stanley asks.

"I don't know. As if Betty Ripsom's been hiding in Home Ec for the last few weeks." Eddie says as he still looked in that direction.

The talk of missing kids was starting to make me feel sick, I usual tried to avoid these type of conversation it was only reminder, but I did my best to fight the dizziness, I didn't wanna pass out here.

"You think they'll actually find her?" Stanley asks looking at the woman sadly.

"Sure. In a ditch. All decomposed, covered in worms and maggots. Smelling like Eddie's mom's underwear." Richie tried make a joke out of it, but he only received angry glares.

"Shut up! That's freaking disgusting." Eddie snaps irritation lacing his voice.

"She's not dead. S-s-she's missing." Bill sternly states to Richie, while I tried my best hiding my episode, I couldn't let any of them see me like that again.

"Sorry, Bill. She's missing." Richie says, looking at Bill as he pushed up his glasses, "You know the barrens aren't that bad who doesn't love splashing around in shitty water?" Richie asks, following behind us.

Richie got pushed straight into Stanley, falling to the ground, Patrick crouched next to Stan picking up his kippah from the ground.

"Nice frisbee, flamer."

"Give it back!" Stanley mutters as the older kids laughed at them. Patrick threw it into the bus passing by.

Patrick slapped my ass, when he passed by me, I really wished I could just kick him in his face right about now, but I'll question him later, when he comes to see Steven

"Fucking loser!"

Belch burped in Eddie's face making, the boy almost throw up. Henry bumped into Bill on purpose as he passed him.

"Loser."

"You s-s-suck, Bowers!" Bill states in anger, I was starting to get worried, it was not the bravest thing to do, speaking up or standing up for ourselves, we always get punished even more for it, and we didn't even do nothing to them.

"Shut up, Bill."

Henry turned back around facing us once again. "You s-s-s-say something B-b-b-billy?" Henry mocks his stutter, laughing.

"You and your girlfriend got a free ride this year, because of your little brothers. Ride's over Denbrough, Horner" Henry says taking a step closer to Bill and I, until he was right in our faces.

"Bowers, I'd be careful, your dad seems to be keeping a very close eye on you." The voice of my big brother came from behind us, it made him take a few steps backwards.

"This summer is going to be a hurt train for you and your faggot friends." Henry told us, licking his hand, smudging it all over Bill's face.

I ran straight into Steven's arms, my knees buckling under me, from the inner fighting with the headache and dizziness, "Woah, okay sis, calm down, try and breathe okay." Steven softly told me, holding onto me.

"Oh, Denbrough I think something is wrong with girlfriend." Patrick points out. I saw them turn to look at me, as my brother got me to calm down. Bill was the first one to get to my side as I was sitting on the ground rubbing my head, he stared at me with panic and sadness.

"You t-tried to hide it again?" Bill ask, the emotion in his eyes wasn't clear as he stared me down. I looked to the ground, "I'm sorry." Was all I could say, I turned to see Henry and his goons driving away.

"I wish he'd go missing." Richie says glaring their way.

"He's probably the one doing it." Eddie states.

Steven helped me up, looking me over to see if I was okay and started walking away from me, probably had a few more things to get sorted before he left for summer camp, he wasn't really the talkative kind of person, he just waved at us and walked away.

"You okay, Carli?" Eddie asks.

"Yeah, thanks Eds, guess it's just been a long day." I told him, trying to avoid the conversation completely.
