🎈CHAPTER 39🎈
°Carlita's POV°
"Eddie. We got Pennywise, man." Richie says, crouching down infront of him, but there was no response from the other man, who was looking completely lifeless.
"Eddie?" Richie asks, his hand on his cheek, but still the man did not say anything or move, that's when everyone came to a sad realisation that Eddie has joined Stanley in the afterlife, as tears slowly started falling from my eyes I could only cover my face.
"Richie. He's gone." Beverly points out to the Tozier man who was holding Eddie in his arms. "He's all right. No, he's just hurt. We gotta get him outta here. He's hurt. Ben. Bill, he's okay. We gotta get him outta here. Bev." Richie says, not accepting it, still hoping that he might be alive.
"Rich." I state, making the man turn to look at me.
"What?" He asks.
"Sweetheart, he's not with us anymore, he's gone." I say as gently as I was able to put it, making him look down sadly. "We have to go. Come on. Come on, Richie." Bev says.
"We gotta go." Bill states, but Richie only pulled Eddie's body into an embrace. "Let him go, man. Let him go." Ben says.
"Got it."
It took all three males, to get him off the body. "We can still help him, guys. We can still help him!" Richie yells, the place all around us was starting to fall apart.
"Go! Go! Get up!"
"Guys, we can still help him!"
"No! Eddie!"
Bill and Ben were the one's to drag Richie out of that place as everything was breaking apart around us, we barely made it out of the house, just as it fell in, crumbling into a giant hole, which was all that was left, showing that there use to be a house there.
"Eddie!"
"No, no!"
"Eddie! We gotta get in there and get him! He's still in there!" Richie shouts hysterical, but they still held him back, as the last parts of the house also disappeared.
"Eddie! Eddie!"
We just started wandering the streets, and ended up at the quarry. There was a sign now, and something like a bars stopping us from going any further, but it didn't stop us, we just climbed over it, after taking off our shoes.
Beverly and I was the first to jump in, the others slowly jumping in afterwards. Once in the water we swam to a certain spot, and started washing off all the dirt and blood. Every time I went under I didn't want to come back up, but I knew I had to.
"You know what? Eddie would have hated this, guys." Ben was the first to speak up, breaking our silence.
"What? Cleaning ourselves in dirty water?" Bill asks, knowing the answer already.
"Yeah."
"He'd be telling us we'd get streptococcal something." Beverly states, making us chuckle at that, because it's something he would say.
"Yeah, but he would have made us laugh, though." Mike states.
"Oh, yeah." I softly say.
"He'd be looking out for us. The way he always was. Ain't that right, Richie?" Bill asks, only for the man sitting on a rock in the water, to start sobbing, covering his eyes.
"Hey."
And that's how we ended up surrounding him, hugging him in comfort, we all knew how close those two were, I couldn't imagine how much pain Richie must have been feeling, we stayed like that for awhile, our own silent tears falling.
"Oh. Thank you. I don't have my glasses on, so I don't know who you people are, but thank you." Richie says, making us laugh in our sadness.
"I legit can't find my glasses." Richie states with all seriousness.
"You're serious?"
"Glasses?"
We splitted up looking for it, but I think he let it fall into the water on purpose, just to have a moment for himself.
Bill and I was looking around at the same place, making us bump heads. "You okay?" He asks with a small smile.
"Yeah, perfectly fine." I say splashing him with water, he looks at me with shock on his face. "Oh, your gonna regret that!" He says, splashing me right back.
"You sure about that?" I teasingly ask him, with a smirk on my face, he did the unexpected, wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me closer to his chest, placing his lips on mine. It was a kiss with so many emotions that I was completely overwhelmed.
Once he pulled away, I stared into those eyes, and I knew that I never wanted to stop looking at them, his arms around me, made me feel save and secure from the rest of the world, so I didn't hesitate to pull him into another kiss.
After we were all dried up, we made our way back into town, when Beverly spoke up. "Hey, guys. Look." Showing her hand where there use to be a cut, but now there was nothing at all. Looking at my own hand that used to have the cut, but it was gone, it looked like it was never there in the first place.
"Nothing lasts forever." Mike says, we all looked towards one of the shop's windows, and it was like we were actually looking at our younger selfs.
