THE HEMMING TWINS

CHAPTER 9

LILIA P.O.V

Michael hasn't looked at me since I showed him that stupid little test. That little test that just ruined both of our lives. I wasn't even sure what to do. I knew for a fact I would not abort my baby. I couldn't live with myself if I ever did that. I would kill myself before I ever killed my own child. I was laying in the guest bedroom staring up at the ceiling waiting for someone to come and talk to me. I had no idea what to do.

"Lilia?" My friend Scarlett came into the room. "Are you okay?" She asked laying on the bed beside me.

"Not really." I said not even looking up at her.

"Michael called me saying I should come and talk to you. What's going on?" She asked. I still had the pregnancy test laying in my hand so I handed it to her. "Lil, please tell me you aren't."

"I am. All of the signs show it. I've missed two period and I've been sick a lot lately." I said.

"What are you going to do?" She asked and I shrugged. It wasn't the right time to raise a baby. And Michael will be spending the next few years writing albums and going on tour, I wouldn't be able to do it alone. "What did Michael say?"

"He didn't say anything." I answered. "Please don't tell anyone."

"I won't." She answered cuddling into my side. "I'll be here for whatever you decide to do." She said and I thanked her.

*****FEW HOURS LATER****

"Lilia? Is Scarlett staying for dinner?" Karen asked. I turned to look at Scar.

"Sure, Mrs. Clifford." She answered.

"Oh please, call me Karen." She said and Scar smiled at her. I wasn't sure if Michael told his parents yet but I also haven't seen him in a few hours. I knocked on his bedroom door but there was no answer.

"Wanna stay at my house tonight? We can watch movies and stuff?" She asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know. I'd rather stay here." I said.

"You're sure?" She asked and I nodded my head.

"Dinner girls!" Karen shouted and whatever she was making made my taste buds tingle. I sat down at the place next to where Michael usually sits and Scarlett sat across from me. "Michael isn't coming home tonight." Karen said and I nodded my head in understanding. "Do you happen to know why?"

"No. I haven't talked to him in a while." I answered.

"Are you fighting?" She asked.

"I don't think so?" I asked her confused. I'm sure he was very angry that we weren't careful and he knew that my brother's were going to kill him. I didn't want it to happen this way either.

"After dinner could you try calling him?" She asked.

"Yes, of course."

I waited for what seemed like forever for him to answer the phone.

"I just need some time Lilia." He said into the phone with a sigh. He acted like I didn't need time.

"So do I, Michael but I can't do this on my own. We need to talk about this." It was getting late and he finally answered my call. I needed to see him, to talk to him. To tell him it was going to be okay and we would figure this out.
