THE HEMMINGS TWINS 

CHAPTER 21

MICHAEL P.O.V 

After realizing that Lilia went to the appointment without me and then took Dax with her to see Coles family, I was very angry. It was really late when she got home and Dax was asleep in his seat when she came through the front door. I was standing there waiting for her. 

"Where the hell have you been?" I barked at her like I was father.

"Out, you're not father." She said. 

"No, but I am that babies father." There was no doubt in my mind that Dax was mine, he looked exactly like me. She rolled her eyes. "Lilia, we're suppose to talk about these things! This is what we decided to do!" I said whiling running my hands through my hair. 

"And we also decided to go to doctors appointments together but looks like you already messed that up." She barked as she put the things she was carrying down before picking Dax up. 

"Lilia! I didn't know!" 

"Yes you did. I reminded you yesterday and you said we would meet at your house. I went to your house, you weren't there. I had to go to the appointment. I then saw Cole at Starbucks and he invited me up to the lake house. I wasn't going to sit around all day." 

"You let our son be around random people?" She rolled her eyes at me. It's so funny because if I did that to her she would kill me. 

"They aren't random people. My parents are friends with them." She answered as she rocked back and forth to keep Dax calm. 

"I don't know them." I answered crossing my arms. I knew that she still had one more night with Dax before he was mine. I would be picking him up tomorrow morning. 

"Okay and I don't know some of the people you hang out with..." She said. 

"Yeah but you see, I don't leave the house when he's with me." I answered and she rolled her eyes for what seemed like the hundredth time. 

"I'm not going to stop my world because I have birth to him. Exactly how you're still going away on tour in May." She said. I always hate when people bring this up. I didn't want to leave Dax here. I never ever wanted that but he's too little to come on tour with us

"You need to stop bringing that up! It already pains me enough!" I shouted at her. I huffed before I grabbed my keys and jacket off the couch and slammed the front door before heading to my car. Lilia was going to fight me about this for the rest of my life, and I knew it. 

*LILIA P.O.V*

I wasn't even sure what to do. I put Dax to sleep before I sat down at my desk and looked at the blank computer screen. I was trying to figure out what to do to keep Michael happen while also living my life but clearly that wasn't going to happen. 

"I shouldn't have to stop my whole life." I whispered. I was almost in tears because I was so upset about it. I physically wouldn't be able to function knowing that something could be going on and Michael might try to fight me in court about this. 

Cole texted me to see if I got home on time and when I didn't answer, he called me. 

"What's wrong?" He asked. 

"It's nothing." I didn't want to bring him into this mess. He wasn't the father of my child and I didn't need to be telling him my troubles with Michael. 

"I know you're lying." My voice was clearly cracking and something was clearly very wrong but I really didn't want to tell him what was wrong. 

"It doesn't matter. It's something with Michael. Everything is fine." But everything wasn't fine.
