THE HEMMINGS TWINS

CHAPTER 22

LILIA P.O.V

I sighed before rolling over into Michael's body as Dax's cry came through the baby monitor. Dax was now six weeks old and me and Michael have been trying to make this work again for the last two weeks and so far so good.

"Are we looking at that apartment today?" I asked Michael shaking him awake after getting Dax.

"We can. There's no rush." There was kind of a rush. Both of our houses were two small for two extra people to be living in. If we got a place of our own there would be so much more room. My mom wasn't thrilled with the idea of me and Michael but he was the father of my son and I loved him more than I've ever loved anyone in my entire life. "I'm gonna shower." He said getting up from my bed ad heading over to Luke's room.

"Lil, are you sure you want to move out with him. You know we don't mind you staying here." My mom said when I came down the stairs.

"Yes. I'm positive." I answered. "It's just too small for two extra people." I answered. Me and Michael have been talking about the upcoming tour and if me and Dax will be joining him. He thought that it would be a good idea and I was starting to think the same thing. I wasn't going to tell my parents that though. As soon as Michael was done getting ready, I went to shower and get ready before grabbing my phone off the charger and grabbing Dax's diaper bag. "Ready?" I asked Michael.

"Yeah." He answered as he grabbed Dax's seat and we all went out to the car. "When are you going to tell your parents that you're coming on tour?" He asked.

"Not now. I want to just give them some time you know? They just got us back." I answered getting in the car while Michael got Dax in.

"I understand. I hate taking their grandkid away from them for that long." The tour went from May to September with only a few short breaks in the middle but never long enough to fly home.

"It will all be okay." I answered. Eventually we both dropped the conversation.

"Are we gonna take Dax trick or treating?" He asked and I looked over at him.

"You just want to eat the candy." I said to him laughing. I knew that was exactly what he wanted to do. I could literally just buy him candy and he would totally be fine with it.

"Well he can't eat it!" He said which made me laugh even more. "We can dress him up as Yoda or something!" He said.

"Whatever you want." I said checking my phone. I wasn't sure how far away this apartment was but I really had to go to the bathroom. "What are the boys doing on Halloween?" I asked.

"I'm sure they would love to come trick or treating with us." He smiled at me. "I think Ashton is having some people over but Bryanna is going to be there so... I'm not going." He said.

"I wasn't even invited." I said. When we were younger, before all this band stuff happened, Ashton would always invite me before everyone else and now we're ex's and I have a kid with someone else.

"I think he just figured because she would be there and that you have a kid that you wouldn't be going." He said and I nodded my head. It sucked because it was always 'Lilia Hemmings has a kid', 'Lilia won't be able to go because of Dax'. It was never that Michael had to stay home because he had a kid. It sucked sometimes because it takes two people to have a kid and people somehow think that I got myself pregnant without help from someone else.

"Did he figure you would be there?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"I told him no." I huffed and he looked over at me. "What's wrong?"
