My Pov
"Augh..." I groaned as I collapsed on my bed. Work was hard. Life was hard. I hate it. I was a twenty-seven year old woman who just worked overtime twice in one week at her grocery store job. I lived with my grandmother as my mother had passed away three years ago from lymphoma. I pulled out my Switch Lite and started it up. I selected my Pokémon Scarlet file and started playing. I played with my Sylveon that I raised from an Egg. It would be so cool if Pokémon could be real.
"I wished I could live in the Pokémon world." I said. I saved the game and decided to sleep. I prayed tomorrow would be a better day.
...
...
...
"Winifred! Winifred! Wake up!" a voice yelled. Winifred? That wasn't my name. Not even close. That's when someone yanked my blanket off of me. I snapped up to see a middle-aged woman that I didn't recognize, glaring at me. "Get up! You're already running late."
"Who are you?" I asked, still half-asleep.
"Quit acting stupid! I'm your aunt!" the woman shouted. Aunt? I had two uncles, but no aunt. That's when I looked down at my hands. I felt my face. I looked down at my body and noticed I was slimmer. Much slimmer. I then caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My skin was no longer tan and was pale. My hair was long and silver and my eyes were a light violet. I started shaking and freaking out. What happened to me? I went to bed as a twenty-seven year old woman and now...
"How old am I?" I asked aloud.
"You just turned ten. You're old enough to get your first Pokémon." she said. Ten? Ten?!
"I'm ten?! That's not possible! I'm-, wait... Did you say Pokémon?" I asked, changing my tone.
"Yes, you Slowpoke! Professor Oak's decided to take you on as a research fellow and take over as your guardian from now on as a favor to your late mother." the woman said. Okay, I must have died. That, or a coma. I must have rolled out of bed and hit my head. That is the only way to explain this. "Hurry and get dressed! Head to Professor Oak's lab. I'll be by later with your supplies and bike. The sooner you leave, the better."
"My supplies?" I asked.
"Yes. You spend all day yesterday choosing how many Potions, Antidotes and PokéBalls you would need." my aunt said. That sounded like something I'd do in the games. "Hurry up! Your outfit should be laying on your desk." I snapped out of it and ran back upstairs. I looked at my desk and noticed some clothes laying on top. I quickly changed out of my night clothes and into these. After putting on my hat, I looked in the mirror and saw I was wearing an outfit similar to Leaf's.
Oh well, it was cute. I ran down the stairs. "All your other things will be moved to Professor Oak's house after you leave. Finally, I don't have to put up with your antics anymore."
"I'm not living here anymore after today?" I asked, just wanting to make sure I wouldn't have to see the crone again because she was really pissing me off.
"Yes. Professor Oak's your guardian now." my aunt said. I nodded and ran out the door. I hurried to Professor Oak's lab. It looked just like the anime. I finally made it to the lab and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal the actual Professor Oak.
"Ah, you're Winnie, Louisa Evos' daughter?" he asked. Louisa Evos? I guess that was my mom's name seeing that my name was Winifred now, though I liked Winnie better. I nod my head and he leads me into the lab. I noticed four PokéBalls that were empty. Wait, four? The fourth one must have been Pikachu, which means Ash was already here. I was really behind. "Well, all of the original starters, including my extra one have already been chosen, but I have one final Pokémon left."
"Which Pokémon is that?" I asked. Instead of answering me, Professor Oak walked over to his computer, typed in some keys and and PokéBall materialized on a small platform. Must have been one he kept in his PC.
"Here you are Winnie." he said, holding the PokéBall out to me. I took it. Thoughts of what it could be ran through my head.
'Please don't be one that I wouldn't be able to train properly.' I thought. I pressed the button and a beam of white emitted from it. The light went to the floor and started taking shape. When the light faded there, in front of me, was an Eevee.
"Oh. My. Arceus!" I squealed as I picked up my Eevee and spun around, giggling like some lunatic. "I can't believe I get an Eevee! Eevee's my favorite in the whole world!" I sat Eevee down and gently patted its head. After getting over the initial shock, it pushed its head into my hand. I don't know why, but I had a feeling my Eevee was a girl. I decided to nicknamed her after my Sylveon in Scarlet. "I'll call you Lovie." I said.
"Vui!" Lovie chirped, signaling she like her nickname.
"I'm glad you two seem to get along right away." Professor Oak said. He handed me a Pokédex and five PokéBalls. "I believe you're all set."
"Thank you, Professor. I said. That's when I remembered what my aunt had said. "Um, Professor?"
"Yes, Winnie?" Professor Oak asked.
"My aunt said you were going to be my guardian in exchange for me to be a research fellow. What exactly does she mean?" I asked.
"Well... I knew your mother since the day she came and got her first Pokémon. After completing her journey, she asked to help me in my Pokémon research. So, she helped me over the years and even continued to help me after she married your father and had you." Professor Oak said. He walked over and picked a picture off his shelf and handed it to me. It was a picture of my mom hold me as a baby. My mom had blonde hair that seem to curl at the ends which seemed to be orange and she had red eyes.
"What happened to her? And where's my dad?" I asked. Professor Oak sighed.
"Your father passed away not long after you were born and your mother passed away when you were five." he said. Wow. I was orphaned young. " I promised your mother when you turned ten years old that I would make sure you would become a Pokémon Trainer. She even asked me if I could have you start with an Eevee, as it was your favorite Pokémon and hers as well."
"Thanks for this, Professor Oak. I won't disappoint." I said. I looked down at Lovie. "Let's go Lovie. We're really behind, so we've got a lot of ground to cover."
"Vui vui!" Lovie squeaked. She hopped up onto my shoulder as I ran for the door.
"See ya later, Professor!" I shouted back. I made my way down the stairs and saw my bag and bike just sitting outside. "Well, I don't have to deal with her anymore after today." I placed Lovie in the basket and hopped on the bike. I slowly started pedaling before getting a good rhythm going and pedaled even harder. "I don't know how I ended up here and quite frankly, I don't care. This is a dream come true and I hope I never wake up. Pokémon World, here I come!"
So, I was doing videos that touched on how I think my adventures in Pokémon would be if I were in the anime. So I decided to do stories on it too. Winnie's Japanese named would be Miwa which means 'beautiful peace' and my mom's Japanese name would be Yuka which mean 'brave soldier'. The way my voice sounds now is like Lyra's in Pokémon Masters EX, in other words Della Saba.
