My Pov
After leaving Pewter City, I rode my bike all the way to the entrance of Mt. Moon. I managed to catch several other Pokémon, but sent them to Professor Oak. I thought about all the Pokémon that were inside. I was mainly hoping the find a Paras. I took a deep breath and went inside. After a while, I thought I might be halfway through. I actually managed to find some Moon Stones and caught some more Pokémon, but no Paras.
"Paras shouldn't be that hard to find." I said.
"Vui vui!" Lovie exclaimed. I saw she was pointing in forward. I looked and saw a Paras! I pointed my Pokédex at it.
"Paras, the Mushroom Pokémon. It burrows under the ground to gnaw on tree roots. The mushrooms on its back absorb most of the nutrition." the Pokédex said.
"Perfect! Lovie, Tackle!" I said. She ran and rammed into the Paras.
"Paras!" it exclaimed. Its mushrooms quivered and an orange powder came from them.
"Lovie, jump out of the way." I said. Lovie jumped up and out of the way of Stun Spore. After she landed back on the ground, her body started glowing yellow. "What the...?" Her tail then became cloaked in light. She swung her tail forward and from it came the same orange powder. Stun Spore? The powder hit Paras, causing it to stiffen and shiver. Oh, yeah. Grass-types can still be paralyzed in Gen I. "Tackle it again." Lovie rammed into Paras. I took one of the PokéBalls I had and threw it. It hit Paras and absorbed it into the ball. It wiggled three times and then the center light went out. "Yes!" I picked up the PokéBall. I now had a Grass-type. That's when I remembered Lovie glowing yellow. I held my Pokédex up and pointed it at her.
"Eevee's special attack, Mimic. It is capable of copying the last attack used by its opponent." the Pokédex said. Lovie learned Mimic! This was so cool!
"That's perfect, Lovie. Now you can copy a Pokémon's attack and use it against them." I said.
"Vui!" Lovie said. I soon was almost to the end of the cave when I saw some weird guy looking around. Like he didn't want to be spotted. I wanted to avoided the guy but he was blocking the way I needed to go. I was going to have to go up to this guy. I slowly walked up not wanting to surprise him and have him attack me.
"Pardon me..." I said gently. The guy snapped up and freaked out.
"NO! You can't have them! They're mine!" the guy yelled. Huh? Before I could ask what the hell he was talking about, he threw a PokéBall and out of it came a Voltorb. I pointed my Pokédex at it.
"Voltorb, the Ball Pokémon. It is said to camouflage itself as a Poké Ball. It will self-destruct with very little stimulus." the Pokédex said. Well, I guess I had to fight this guy.
"Lovie, Tackle!" I said. Lovie rammed into Voltorb and sent it flying into a wall.
"Voltorb, Screech!" the weird guy yelled. Voltorb let out a loud scream that seemed to bounce off the walls of the cave. I covered my ears and Lovie was wincing. Two can play at that game.
"Lovie, use Mimic!" Her body glowed orange and then she let out an equally loud scream. Voltorb and the guy flinched. "Tackle!" Lovie rammed into Voltorb and knocked it out. The weird guy returned Voltorb.
"Go, Magnemite!" a exclaimed, throwing another PokéBall and revealing his second Pokémon. I pointed my Pokédex at it.
"Magnemite, the Magnet Pokémon. It is born with the ability to defy gravity. It floats in air on powerful electromagnetic waves." the Pokédex said. Magnemite is still a pure Electric-type. It won't become half-Steel until Johto. That means Normal moves can hurt it.
"Lovie, use Screech!" I said. Once again, Lovie let out a loud scream. Both Magnemite and the guy flinched.
"Stop doing that!" the guy yelled.
"Fat chance. Lovie, finish it with Tackle." I said. Lovie ran and rammed into Magnemite, knocking it into a wall and knocking it out. The guy returned Magnemite.
"Fine! You can have one of the fossils, but just one!" the guy snapped. Fossils? I got closer and saw this guy had the Helix Fossil and Dome Fossil! I thought about it and between Omanyte and Kabuto, I liked Omanyte better. I picked up the Helix Fossil. The guy grabbed the Dome Fossil and hurried off. If he manages to revive Kabuto, I feel bad for it. I looked at the fossil and thought. Should I go back to Pewter City and revive it now or later? With Omanyte, I'd have a Rock-Water-type. But, it would really only be useful for the Cinnabar Gym and really no help with the Celadon Gym. I decide to hold off on reviving my Omanyte and went through the cave. I finally saw light and pedaled my bike faster. I was enveloped in light and finally found my way through Mt. Moon. I took a look at my map and it showed Cerulean City wasn't far from here. I decided to take a break, train my Pokémon up a little. Especially Dot, my new, cute little Paras. After a few hours each of my Pokémon learned some new moves; Lovie had forgotten Tackle and learned Quick Attack, Primo learned Karate Chop, Zippy basically learned all new moves except for Thunder Shock(Quick Attack, Thunder Wave and Double Team)and I even managed to get Dot to learn Leech Life.
"Vui." Lovie said.
"What is it, girl?" I asked. She looked up at the sky and that's when I saw how orange it was. "I guess we trained longer than what we thought. Well, better set up camp." With Primo and Dot's help, I was able to find some wood. I made a small campfire and made everyone a bowl of food. "Eat up, everyone!" All my hungry Pokémon gobbled up their food, hungry from the long training session. I managed to make some new food for Dot using the plants that were around here. After everyone was done eating, I cleaned the bowls, packed up the trash, and put out the fire. I got into my sleeping bag and all my Pokémon crowded around me. Well, hopefully with Zippy and Dot I would have a good chance against the Cerulean Gym. I also wonder if I'd ever run into Ash? It would be really cool to travel with him, Brock and Misty. Then again, I might want to travel all on my own. Just to have my own experiences and adventures. Maybe I could actually help him be more of an efficient Pokémon Trainer. Maybe give him some pointers.
Okay, between each chapter, we'll just say an unknown amount of time has passed. So, I may have Winnie met Ash and co. in the next chapter for Cerulean City.
