Kagami was the first to wake up and her eyes immediately fell onto Chishiya who was still asleep. His fingers were intertwined with hers and had been since they had fallen asleep. Pushing the hair from his face, Kagami smiled to herself as she stared down at him. She couldn't help but wonder how a man like him could have feelings for a woman like her. Other than her beauty, what else did she really have to offer him? She was a murderer, a con artist and only got her degree in education due to Niragi's parents funding both her own and Niragi's education. Of course, they were under the impression she was going to become their daughter-in-law. Yet, here she was, laying next to someone that was not Suguru Niragi and she couldn't remember the last time she had felt this way. It was a mixture of peace and excitement that Kagami couldn't quite work out what it meant. She didn't understand her feelings for Chishiya and she wasn't sure if she ever would at this rate.

Kagami slowly pulled her hand out of Chishiya's hold and pulled the blanket back so she could get to her feet. Once she was out from under the blanket, Kagami carefully placed it back over him and moved to grab one of the packets of snacks he had grabbed for them to eat. They would need to choose a game today or face the King of Spades. Given that a physical game was neither Chishiya's nor Kagami's strong suit, picking a game they were actually good at seemed like the better option.

Kagami's eyes flicked over the map as she opened a packet of pocky. While Chishiya had expressed an interest in the King of Diamonds, Kagami couldn't help but wonder which Face Card her brother was going to represent. No matter what, she wanted to play his game. He certainly wasn't going to be behind a Diamonds game. Or even a Clubs game. Daiki was always more of the lone wolf type. That just left the Hearts games or the Spades games.

"Always the early riser." Chishiya's words greeted Kagami in a tired mumble.

Kagami's eyes shifted onto Chishiya who was still laying down under the fleece blanket with his eyes locked onto her. Moving towards him, Kagami sat on top of his hips before she bent down to kiss him. Chishiya seemed somewhat surprised by her kiss, but welcomed it anyway.

"I tried not to wake you." She mused, her eyes locked onto Chishiya who was smiling softly at her before he brushed the hair from her face and pulled her towards him to kiss her once more.

"I didn't think you'd be the affectionate type. I like it." He told her, causing Kagami to smile.

"I'm usually not. So consider yourself lucky." She grinned, kissing his forehead before she moved back to her feet towards the map.

________________ POV Change

Chishiya sat up so his back was resting against the wall and watched the pretty woman before him. She had intrigued him for longer than she would ever know. His 'long game', as he had begun to call it, started the week that he had observed her prior to his plan to steal the cards. In fact, it started from the first game they had ever played together.

Namika Kagami fascinated him in a number of ways. She, just like him, wore a mask. The only difference was that while his mask was the apathetic expression that he had learned from his father; Namika's was the pretty smile that she hid behind. They both wore masks and they could both see straight through the other. Chishiya had never in his life met someone who could read him the same way that he had learned to read others. In the beginning it both intrigued and frustrated him, which was why he had spent those seven long days observing her. He, at the time, was trying to prove to himself that it was a mere fluke. But, those seven days proved the opposite. She was clever and he had to admit that her plan to leave the Beach might have actually worked if Hatter had not introduced the new rule.

The fact that no one even suspected her in the slightest when she had stolen the handgun was proof enough of that. In fact, Chishiya had to try and not laugh in amusement as she backed Hatter up and swore to aid him in any way she could to try and find the culprit. Her relationship with Hatter was always amusing to Chishiya. Hatter was the perfect example of how well Namika could manipulate someone. She was an observer... like him. But, unlike Chishiya, Kagami had a fire inside her that he had seen even the mighty Aguni struggle to put out. There was a fearlessness to Namika that he truly admired.
