Kagami's brow furrowed as she tried to take in what Niragi had said to her. It didn't make sense. How could he still love her after everything she had done to him? Perhaps Chishiya was right. It came down to obsession, not love.
"But, I don't understand." Kagami exclaimed as Niragi just watched her. "I have hit you. I tried to kill you. I spent years making you feel like you weren't enough all because of a stupid conversation with Daiki. Then there's Chishiya. I kissed him while we were still together. I love-" Kagami wasn't able to finish her sentence as Niragi leaned forward and kissed her. His kiss tasted of blood and Kagami couldn't help but freeze for a moment before she grabbed him by his shoulder and pushed him back away from her.
"What?" Niragi asked, staring at her intently while Kagami bit her lip. "Come on, Namika. I know you and you know me. We are meant to be together." He spoke as though he was trying to convince her and as he cupped her face and tried to kiss her again, Kagami pushed against him.
"Stop it." She told him in more of a desperate plea rather than in any sort of tone that would signify strength from her. But he didn't and Kagami could see that he was becoming frustrated with her as he tried to pull her back towards him. "You're being mean."
"How am I being mean?" He asked with his eyes narrowed and Kagami took a deep breath as she tried to prepare herself to tell Niragi the truth.
"I can't do this with you." She confessed. Even if they were about to die, she couldn't fake being in love with Niragi. "I love him, Suguru. I love Chishiya." Kagami felt her stomach turn as she got the words out. Niragi kept his gaze locked onto hers and she watched as his expression became cold. There he was, the Niragi she knew.
"Chishiya, huh?" He questioned bitterly and Kagami nodded before she looked ahead of her.
"Yeah. I love him and he loves me." She said in a whisper. "You can't change that. I'm sorry." She told him. Still staring ahead of her, she listened as Niragi scoffed.
"Oh yeah? If he loves you so much, then where is he?" Niragi somewhat snapped at her. "Where is he, Namika?" This time he shouted at her and Kagami placed her hands over her ears and brought her knees up to her chest.
"Stop yelling." Kagami murmured as she started to rock back and forward slightly. "Just leave me alone." She could practically feel the anger coming off of Niragi as she sat beside him. Grabbing onto her wrist, Niragi pulled her hand away from her ear so aggressively that she almost fell into his lap.
"Leave you alone?" He questioned. "Bitch, we're going to die and I at least deserve one last screw before we're both shot in the head by fucking lasers. It's the least you can do after how much you've fucked me over, you whore." Kagami tried to pull her hand out of Niragi's hold, but he held onto it with such a tight grip that it started to hurt.
"I knew you wouldn't change." She spat back at him.
Kagami kicked him in the chest hard enough to draw out a pained cry from Niragi and for Kagami to move away from him, still on her hands and knees. Her legs now that she had been sitting for awhile hurt so much more and she wasn't sure if she was going to be able to run from Niragi. Kagami didn't get far as Niragi jumped to his feet and moved towards her to grab a fistful of her hair and slam her head into the concrete. Kagami felt her head spin as Niragi flipped her over and sat on her hips.
"No point changing now, is there?" Niragi grumbled. "Kyuma was right, only by facing death can you learn who you are and I know who I am. I'm not the kind of person with friends to rely on. I'm not the kind of person with hopes and dreams. I'm garbage. You were the only good thing about me and now I don't even have you." Niragi moved his hands to her throat, "I fucking love you, Namika and I hate you. How fucking dare you love that piece of shit, Chishiya, over me. After everything we've been through. I would die for you. I would kill for you. What more do you fucking want from me, Namika!" He shouted at her once more as Kagami clawed at his hands to try and get him to at least loosen his grip on her.
