Daiki Kagami kept his eyes locked onto the man who was so close to becoming his brother-in-law: Suguru Niragi. He had spent years despising Niragi and going out of his way to try and break him and his beloved younger sister up to no avail. Namika had loved him in her own way and Niragi? Well his love for Namika was like nothing he had ever seen before and if Daiki had to describe it, he would probably use the word 'obsessive'. Niragi only saw Namika and it was as if no other woman in the world existed to him. It was both sad and pathetic that he continued to hang onto her even after she had moved on with Shuntaro Chishiya; a man that Daiki wasn't really too impressed with either. Chishiya was out for himself and wanted Namika for selfish reasons regardless of his apparent 'love' for her. In fact, Daiki was certain that if push came to shove, Chishiya would choose himself over Namika every time. Namika really did have an awful taste in men and it seemed that out of the two men present in her life; one loved her too much, while the other didn't love her enough.
Niragi was looking at Daiki with a level of fear in his eyes that brought a sadistic smile to his face. He was protective over Namika and always had been and it had been that protective nature of Daiki's that had caused he and Niragi to butt heads a number of times throughout the years. Daiki had punched Niragi for much less and this particular time was probably the first truly justified ass-kicking he would ever give out.
"How's it going, mate? Sorry to ruin the fun but as the little guy says, I've got a bone to pick with you." Daiki said coldly, his eyes flicking towards Namika who had her attention focused onto Chishiya.
Namika had a look in her eye that he knew Niragi saw as well, she loved the arrogant, bottle-blonde, doctor. Perhaps more than she ever loved Niragi and they both saw it. Daiki's eyes flicked back to meet with Niragi who watched Namika and Chishiya with a look in his eye that made Daiki feel almost sorry for him. Almost. Daiki continued his advance on Niragi that ended when he reached forward and grabbed a fistful of his shirt with his other fist ready to punch him. This caused Niragi to set his attention back onto Daiki, who was only about an inch shorter than Niragi, but much more toned and muscular.
"What the fuck do you want, Daiki?" Niragi questioned, "Let's play this game already. The maze is getting boring and as soon as you're dead, I'm gonna kill your brother and Chishiya." Niragi told him with a level of confidence that made Daiki smirk and attempt to hold back laughter.
All Daiki saw when he looked at Niragi was the same scared teenager that followed Namika around like a lost puppy. If he thought he was strong enough to take on Daiki, than he had another thing coming. Niragi might have been a mass murderer here in this world, but Daiki had killed just as many people during his time in the Yakuza in the actual world. It was why he had set the game up as he had... he wanted to die. But, he wanted to accomplish two things before he died: Firstly, he wanted to see Hachi sober and secondly, he wanted his sister to be happy and loved. He had already gotten Hachi sober and this game would make sure that Namika would be happy, protected and loved without him.
In truth, Daiki didn't care about Mira Kano in the slightest, it was just an easy excuse to give about his decision to stay in this world as a citizen. His entire game and reasoning for staying in this Hell was just an elaborate suicide plan that would ensure that his siblings would be okay; especially Namika. He loved his sister more than anyone else in the world and had done everything he could to make sure he was a good older brother. That was part of the reason he had taken Chishiya's bait regarding Niragi so quickly. He knew deep down that Chishiya was just doing whatever he could to not have Daiki tell his secret but, the guilt he felt about missing what Niragi was doing to Namika made his heart ache. Was he really a terrible brother?
"You've crossed the line, Niragi." Daiki told him seriously, letting go of his shirt, "Chishiya told me something fascinating about you." Out of the corner of his eye, Daiki saw Namika turn her attention onto he and Niragi.
