After medical attention was given to both Niragi and Chishiya, the group had left the hospital and finally found themselves at the place that they supposed was the game arena.
The six players of the King of Hearts game were standing in front of a large house that could even be described as a small a mansion. Just like most of Tokyo, the place was overgrown with nature which made it look like the setting of a horror movie. They were standing outside of the house mostly because of the large, black, metal gate that stood between them and the house. They were also standing still due to the words that escaped Chishiya's mouth as soon as they caught sight of the place.
"This is my parents' house."
"Why would Daiki make the game arena your parents' house?" Arisu finally asked, breaking the silence.
"To fuck with him, obviously." Niragi muttered, "Chishiya is the boy toy of Daiki's little sister and it's pretty clear by whatever was in that invitation that he doesn't like him." Niragi explained, his dark gaze fixated onto Arisu as he spoke. "I thought you were supposed to be smart?"
Arisu didn't bother replying, but it didn't stop Usagi from shooting the tall, burned man a death glare. None of them were in the mood to deal with Niragi after the somewhat long trip from the hospital to the game arena. Niragi was well aware of the fact that out of every player in the group, he had only one ally. But, it hadn't stopped him in doing everything he could to get on the nerves of Arisu, Usagi and Chishiya. Strangely enough, he hadn't done much at all when it came to Kagami and if she had to describe how he was towards her, she hated to admit that he had been quite pleasant. But if anything, that made her more nervous around him. Especially now that his pain was mostly gone thanks to the morphine that Chishiya gave him.
Pleasant was how Kagami knew that Niragi had something planned for her. That and the fact he did everything but flat out admit to Chishiya that he planned on killing him to get her back once Daiki was dead. Kagami was surprised to have overheard that Niragi believed that he was still in love with her and it scared her. In Kagami's eyes, he had no reason to feel that way about her anymore and if she knew Suguru Niragi, which she did, he wasn't just going to let things slide when it came to her and Chishiya. He had something sinister planned and Kagami was scared.
"So, what are we supposed to do now? Just stand around?" Saiko, Niragi's only ally, questioned from where she stood next to Niragi. Kagami's eyes fell onto Saiko and in that moment she wished that she could have just handed Niragi's heart over to her. But, as she watched Niragi shoot her an annoyed glance, she knew deep down that he'd never see her the same way he saw Kagami.
"I'll try the buzzer." Arisu told the group as he moved towards the black buzzer and pushed the button in. The group waited in silence for some sort of response until finally they heard Daiki's voice.
"So, you're finally here, thank god, I was getting worried that you killed each other." Daiki's voice said as the black metal gate swung open. "We're gonna mix things up. You're going to break off into pairs of my choosing and we're gonna see how well you can follow instructions. So, let's see, we'll put... Saiko with Arisu... Usagi with Chishiya... which leaves Nami and Niragi. Sound good?" At the sound of her name paired with Niragi's, Kagami stormed towards the buzzer.
"You will not put me with him. I won't do it. Put me with anyone else in the group." She pleaded angrily. Kagami waited a few moments but was met with silence.
"Don't be dramatic, Namika." Niragi muttered. "What? You can't stand to be away from your beloved Chishiya? Come on, I've been nice to you, haven't I?" He said with a smirk. Kagami looked over her shoulder at Niragi, who winked at her, before she looked back to the buzzer.
