Kagami's eyes kept on flicking between the two men as she stopped about three metres away from them. The one in the suit seemed like the type of sleezy guy that would frequent San'ya for all the wrong reasons. It was clear that he was a womanizer as well and she imagined that he was the charismatic type like Hatter was and the other guy... Well, the other guy she knew and not just because of the prison uniform and the fact that his face was on every newspaper for months after his arrest.
He was Sunato Banda and was supposed to be in prison on death row for killing four women in the Shibuya area. But, Kagami didn't want him to know that she knew who he was. He, just like her, grew up in San'ya, but, unlike her, he could never escape the place. In fact, Kagami's father knew the Banda's quite well and while she never met Sunato himself, she had seen his parents when they dropped by to sell her father drugs. The Banda family had ties to the Yakuza and were the people you saw when you needed any type of illegal drug you could think of. Before Sanato's arrest, the Banda name was only famous in San'ya. Now, thanks to Sanato's crimes, the name was known to pretty much everyone in Tokyo.
"So, who are you looking for?" The man in the suit asked before he extended his hand towards her. "I'm Oki Yaba and you are?" He spoke with a charismatic grin.
"Kagami." She answered briefly before her eyes flicked down to his extended hand. "Not a fan of strangers." Her eyes flicked back to meet with Yaba, who still wore a smile while she heard Banda chuckle from beside him.
"I like your honesty, Kagami. It's quite refreshing after being in my line of work back in our world..." He smiled at her and Kagami looked him up and down.
"And what exactly was your line of work?" She asked sweetly.
"Con Artist I guess you could say. Put I prefer business man." Yaba answered and Kagami had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at the answer. He really did fit the con artist stereotype.
"Charming. Anyway, I'm looking for a blonde guy, kinda short... like around 5'6 and wears a white jacket." She said. She needed to just get the information she needed and then get out of there. "He played the Jack of Hearts game with you. Is he still alive?" Kagami asked, ignoring the way Banda was staring at her. Yaba glanced at Banda, who didn't take his eyes off of her, before back to Kagami.
"Well, Kagami. If I am not mistaken, your man left here probably about 10 minutes ago." Yaba told her and Kagami couldn't help but grit her teeth.
Chishiya was alive and she had missed him by a mere ten minutes. The next place for her to go was to the King of Diamonds game. As much as Banda's presence unnerved her, she was at least thankful that she ran into Yaba. He was helpful and now that Kagami knew Chishiya was alive and well, she could go on her way. Thanking Yaba and turning on her heel to walk away she made about three steps before Banda's voice stopped her dead in her tracks.
"Kagami? I'm Banda." He said and Kagami looked over her should at him. He had a smile on his face, but his eyes were cold. "Where are you from? I knew a Kagami once. Masato Kagami. You know him?" Banda's question made Kagami's heart almost stop. She was surprised that he remembered their name. The Kagami's were nobodies, even in San'ya and anyone who knew their father knew him to be nothing more than scum.
Looking at Banda, he looked to be around 28 to 30 years old and if she remembered correctly, he was arrested and sentenced to death about five years ago. Her father was at that point dead for three years or well... classed as a missing person. While Kagami and Daiki ran from San'ya in their teens, it was possible that Banda had met her father after those events alongside his parents. Because Kagami certainly didn't know Banda personally. Keeping her eyes locked onto Banda, she gave him one of her classic fake grins and tried to hide the fact that he truly scared her.
