Chishiya walked into the house that he had not stepped foot in for years. He had grown up in this house that had been trashed from whatever Daiki had been doing. But, weirdly enough, he preferred it that way.
"I see you've made yourself at home." Chishiya mused, looking at the mess and damaged furniture that covered the floors. It looked as though Daiki had some sort of party the night before, but there was no trace of other people and with most of the citizens dead, he had the feeling that all of this was Daiki's doing.
"I was going to clean while you were doing the maze but... well fuck it. It won't matter after the game anyway." Was the tall, muscular man's response.
Chishiya examined Daiki's face, it seemed as though he wore a mask quite similar to Namika's. He hid behind charisma and confidence. But, unlike Namika, Daiki wasn't hiding fear, anxiety or doubt. If Niragi's stories of Daiki was anything to go off of, all he was hiding was rage. Daiki was definitely more dangerous than Niragi and while Chishiya wasn't afraid of him, he knew he had to play his cards right.
"You know, I've been watching you since you got to the Jack of Hearts. You're quite the player." Daiki said, breaking Chishiya's train of thought as he followed him into the room that used to be his father's study. "I'll be honest, I did think you were fucked after your partner's head blew up. I guess it was really just luck that let you win. Enji Matsushita, was a bitch though. So, I'm glad he got what was coming to him." Daiki said before he sat across from Chishiya in his father's chair. "The King of Diamonds though? Now that was a fucking hard game. A little too hard for my liking. I prefer a bit of informality and freedom rather than a set of strict rules. But Kuzuryu was always going on and on about fairness and structure. All for it to end with him killing himself for you." Daiki lent back on the chair and placed his boots on top of Chishiya's father's desk. "I assure you that I don't plan on letting you manipulate me into letting you all live. I mean, the only reason I even became the King of Hearts is because I wanted to fuck Mira Kano. But, seems like I won't get the chance." Daiki let out a sigh and seemed to look around the room before his brown eyes finally landed back onto Chishiya. He really did look like the male version of Namika. They had the same eyes, wore the same mask and even had the same facial expressions at times.
"Ah, is there a particular reason you've been watching me?" Chishiya questioned. Daiki stared at him for a little bit before he chuckled.
"Don't play dumb. You know exactly why I've been watching you." He laughed, pulling a packet of cigarettes out of his pocket, taking one out an placing it between his lips. Chishiya nodded slowly in response. Of course he knew, it was because of Namika.
"You know, Niragi thinks you're the Devil and I think he may actually be right." Chishiya said with a smirk, his eyes locked onto Daiki's. Lighting the cigarette, Daiki inhaled deeply before he blew the smoke out in Chishiya's direction and rested it between his index and middle finger with a smirk.
"That's a compliment... coming from you." Daiki said back, "I gotta hand it to you, as much as I hate that you're the one my sister ended up with, I respect you. You're callous, calculated and manipulative. Those are some impressive traits. But, why Nami? She's not the easiest to manipulate, has a temper which Niragi can tell you all about and has a soft spot for children... and we both know how you and children go. How many kids do you think you've killed?"
The question was designed to throw Chishiya off and it might have worked if he hadn't been expecting his job to come up in the conversation. He was under the impression that Daiki knew everything there was to know about Chishiya. It was what allowed him to stay calm and focused.
"I love Namika and she knows about the position the hospital put me in." Chishiya answered with a shrug. It was partly true. He did love Namika, but, she didn't know everything when it came to his work with the hospital.
