Kagami continued to walk ahead of the newbie, Chishiya, who trailed behind her. She was giving him a tour of the Beach and doing it as slowly as possible so they could chew up some time. She was giving him useless information like who was in what room and who was involved with who. Most of the single girls were involved with Hatter which made that part of the tour fun. She had also conveniently skipped hers and Niragi's room.

"So, any questions so far?" She asked with a playful smirk.

"Yeah, why are you stalling?" Chishiya responded causing her to turn and face the man. He was a few inches taller than her and didn't avert his eyes at all as she glared at him.

"Six hours is a long time and I'm supposed to watch you for that entire time. What else am I supposed to do?" She questioned.

"Hurry this up so I can ask you questions about how things run around here." He deadpanned as if the answer was obvious. "Assuming you even know anything. I requested to be put with someone who knows what they're doing and who isn't a complete moron. Apparently Hatter ignored that request."

"Have you considered that I find you incredibly boring and don't want to have a conversation with you? Also, keep insulting my intelligence and I'm going to punch you in the face." Kagami retorted, crossing her arms over her chest. The two stared at each other in silence before Chishiya stepped passed her and began to walk away. "Can you not do that?" Kagami snapped as she followed him down the staircase.

Chishiya didn't bother stopping on the floor below and continued his descent until he hit the foyer and looked around. Kagami stayed close behind him but had also given up in trying to stop him doing his own thing. As long as she watched him, she was still doing what she was supposed to be doing.

The next two hours of the day were spent following the short blonde man around the Beach in silence. He had explored every inch of the place other than the places that were off limits to non executives. Although, that didn't stop Chishiya from trying until Kagami told him to stop or pulled him away from the door. From what she had learnt about the man, he was curious, extremely intelligent and an introvert. He had no interest in the other Beach members, but, then again, neither did Kagami. Although she wouldn't admit it. The man facsinated her and she was rather intrigued to see how he would go with the games. She had no doubt that he would earn his way into an executive position. Kagami also knew that the two of them would never be friends. While she found him interesting, she also knew that he was too clever to manipulate, which made him useless to her.

She also believed that Chishiya saw her as nothing more than a nuisance... until the first game they played together. The first game that had set in motion more than Kagami would ever know.

...

The game that Chishiya was being tested on was the 3 of Spades. Not at all what Chishiya was hoping for and she could see it on his face for a split second when he found out. It was set in an amusement park and the rules were simple:

GAME CLEAR: if the players reach the exit without getting caught by the mascots.
GAME OVER: if the mascots kill all the players
TIME LIMIT: none

An hour had passed since they had started the game and already about half of the other players had been killed by the three 'mascots' that were armed with crossbows. The mascots were easy to tell apart due to the masks they each wore. It was also how Kagami and Chishiya had worked out there were only three of them: one with a Tiger mask, one with a Bunny mask and one with a Rhino mask.

Chishiya and Kagami were currently hiding behind the ticket booth next to the merry-go-round. They were fairly close to the exit now and had used Kagami's tactic of keeping low to the ground and out of sight to make their way through the crowded amusement park. So far, her plan had gotten them this far, but the issue now was the Rhino mascot that was guarding the exit. He was pacing back and forth.
