I kept trying to stay awake as I keep seeing nothing but bright lights after Vortex placed me onto the stretcher as a couple of paramedics kept pressure on my gunshot wound and placed an oxygen mask over my face. I fell back into darkness after my eyelids fully closed and barely hear the sirens of the ambulance.

Meanwhile at home, Natalya was on her computer filing a report for her work until her cell phone started ringing and was suspicious as it was an unknown number.

"Hello, this is Natalya Stormbear." She spoke after answering the phone.

While she was talking on the phone, Dasha was watching TV until Natalya shouted with worry and concern.

"What?! He is!" She shouted.

"Mom. What's wrong?" Dasha asked with concern.

"Get in the car. Stan is in the hospital." Natalya says as she grabs the keys.

Meanwhile at the hospital, the surgeon was able to take the bullet out of my shoulder and started stitching up the wound. They even did laser surgery to remove my tattoo as well since Vortex bribed the doctor to do so and keep it off the records. I was taken back to a hospital room to recover.

I started to wake up and I grunted a little by the bright lights in the room until my eyes started to adjust a little.

"You doing alright?" Vortex asked as he was sitting aside on a chair.

"What happened?" I asked as I grunt in pain by my gunshot wound. I noticed that it was stitched up but still sore when I moved my arm a little.

"Easy. And besides the gang-war is over." Vortex says.

"The demons won?" I asked.

"Unfortunately, not. The police and the swat team apprehended Angel Dust and Cherri as well. And Velvela was apprehended as well." Vortex explains.

"What? She can't be. Please don't tell me she's in jail." I spoke with worry.

"I'm afraid so, and besides you should thank me for letting you out of this situation." Vortex says.

"What are you talking about?" I asked suspiciously.

Vortex then showed me his detective badge. And my eyes widened with Shock.

"And don't worry. I won't arrest you since you were at the wrong place in the wrong time anyway." He says with a smirk.

"What about Velvela? She didn't deserve to be in jail either." I asked with a little anger.

"Stan. She had a record of helping the demons harbor and launder and dealing drugs for a couple of years. And besides, she was caught of stealing, and underage drinking one year ago. She made that choice to be part of. As for you, you had no record and you had to do it to protect your family from the Wolf-gang. Unfortunately, Velvela is out of my hands to exclude her from the arrest." Vortex explains.

"There must be a way to. She's, my girlfriend!" I shouted.

"You are dating a criminal Stan. She could just used you to keep herself out of jail." Vortex says with disappointment.

"That's not true. We loved each other and... had a moment." I answered.

"The truth hurts Stan. You should think about not having this chance again. This chance saved you from getting a criminal record, because I told them you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time at the park and I paid for your tattoo removal, so you don't have to worry about that as well. I'm sorry about Velvela, but I had to do my job as a police detective to get this gang trouble of the streets permanently." Vortex explains.

I didn't know what to say anymore since I was upset and worried about not seeing Velvela again since she could go to prison.

"Your family will be here soon." Don't worry. I told them that you were in the park and didn't noticed that the gang-war was going to happen there. Good luck." Vortex says before he leaves the room.

A heard heavy footstep of Natalya running in and gave me a deep hug as she kissed me on the forehead a few times.

"Thank God. You are okay. I thought I told you to be careful in the city." Natalya says.

"I'm sorry. I was relaxing at Dukes Park, and I didn't know that there was going to be a shootout happening there." I explained.

"It's alright. Jesus...." she says as she sat next to me while ruffling my hair.

Dasha was watching with a concerned looked but was suspicious since she was looking for some information about Velvela and found out that she had a criminal record. But decided not to confront me about it in a tough time like this.

A few days later, I was taken home after the doctor decided to check me out that I'm safe to leave the hospital. During the afternoon, Natalya left for work, and I was in my room thinking about Velvela since I was worried that I wouldn't see her again. I was watching the news about the Wolf- Demon gang shootout.

The mayor of the city was on stage as she tried to explain the situation about it.

"Citizens of Liberty city. I understand that there were unforgivable moments of crime and violence in our city is out of control. However, The Demons and Wolves of the gang-war has been ended. The police were able to apprehend every member that deals illegal marijuana in our streets and will be going to prison for their crimes. And about the terrorist rumors that started to die down. Some of the bridges will open for the next day. They will be a few closed bridges still on a few islands but soon. The terrorism rumors needed to fully vanish before we fully open all the bridges of liberty city. Remember, I will make Liberty City a lovely and peaceful place for everyone. I promise you all." Diane explains as she heads inside city hall.

I heard Dasha barging in my room without knocking and I immediately turned my TV off.

"God! Ever heard of knocking?!" I shouted.

"Don't care! Did you know that your girlfriend has a criminal record?!" She asked while shoving a piece of paper close to my face.

"Bullshit! I don't! I bet you made a fake record just to make me break up with her!" I denied.

"Don't lie to me! You could've been in jail because of her. I bet you did some illegal stuff recently didn't you?!" Dasha shouted.

"I didn't! I didn't do shit! Velvela is not a criminal! Fucking drop it!" I shouted.

"For God sake! Why won't you tell me the truth?!"

"Why are you getting in my business and accusing me?! Some fucking sister you are!" I shouted with spite.

"What's that suppose to mean?!"

"That you changed! You changed and treated me differently ever since you went to high school. Now get out of my room and you're not my sister anymore. I mean it." I spoke.

Dasha just gave a glance and didn't say a word as she left and closed the door. I started to regret saying that to her, but now I blame myself for it, but she was at fault as well.
