Moving was stressful during the past few days. We moved all the boxes and had to rent a hand truck to move the appliances to the elevator as we did the fridge last.
"That's everything. Man, I'm tired." Ava says as she wipes the sweat off her face with a rag.
"Great. We can do the unpacking. Can you return the moving truck for us?" Loona asked.
"Yeah, I can do that." Ava says as she heads back to the lobby.
"Hey Stan. You want to have some fun at the strip club to celebrate? It will be fun." Fox suggested as he nudged me on the shoulder.
"What did you say?!" Loona shouted as she growled at him.
"No Fox, I already have a girl." I answered while nodding my head sideways.
"Ok... We are going to head out. Come on Falco." Fox says as he tries to avoid Loona.
"Coming. See ya Stan." Falco says as he left the penthouse.
"The fucking nerve." Loona says as she opens a box.
"Don't worry Loona. I'm not going since there is no reason to." I said as I started moving the couch.
We started unpacking our stuff and it took us about 4 hours to finish. Even though we were done. The penthouse is still mostly empty.
"We should get more furniture." Loona suggested.
"And a better bed since it's full size and you keep accidentally elbowing me in your sleep." I said.
"Don't whine. You don't know how it feels to be a 7 feet tall hellhound." Loona says as she flicks my ear.
"Ow! I'm not. I'm just saying." I said.
"A king size bed will work. But we need another couch, a bigger dining table, A better entertainment TV stand and-
"Ok, ok. I get it. We will start furniture shopping sometime later in the weekend." I suggested.
"Alright then. I'm going to get some sleep." Loona says as she heads to the master bedroom.
"I'll join you in an hour." I said.
"Don't stay up too late Stan." She spoke out from the hallway.
During the night, I was in deep thought. I have thought about Natalya and Dasha since it's been a while, and I missed them deeply. I was hoping mom is still alive while keeping the world safe from dangerous terrorists. As for Dasha, I missed her deeply as I just cut her off just because of how she was to me when she got older.
I poured some whiskey in a glass and sat down on the couch as I watched some TV. I just wondered where Dasha is right now.
Meanwhile, in vice city.
Dasha was sitting in the Spector seats of the court as she watched Ken Rosenberg doing his job being a lawyer for a defendant. But not any ordinary criminal, it was a human police officer that was accused of police brutality on an anthro that was falsely accused of mugging a bystander.
"Your honor. My client was doing his job of protecting an innocent person from being mugged from a low life that wanted to steal from others. He needed to do what's necessary since the anthro he arrested tries to resist and go for his gun." Ken explains.
"Objection your honor! The victim he falsely beat down and arrested did nothing wrong as he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was only minding his business. Officer Reginald did excessive force on an innocent bystander." The Wolf Prosecutor explains.
