The next morning, I was recovering well from my gunshot wound, but I wasn't able to get out of bed as I was still stiff and sore from surgery. I attempted to get out of bed a few times, but Carmilla made sure I stayed in bed.

"Child. You need to stay in bed for a couple of days. You're still sore from the gunshot." She says as she makes me lay back down.

"Sorry. Just wondering where Loona is right now." I spoke.

"Oh. She and Odette went to do a few errands like picking up your Mercedes from the repair shop. And picking up a few things from your place since she decided that you two are staying for at least a week to lay low while things are settling down in Algonquin." Carmilla explains.

"I bet things are fine now."

"Yes, but on the news the police and swat team have been rounding up remnants of the Diamond and Spade mafia after the massacres at both mansions and sending them to prison for life. Since you two have been involved, and this Rick betrayed you. It will be safe if you and Loona stay in my place till the police and authorities call off the searches officially." She added.

I just layed back down in boredom.

Meanwhile...

Loona and Odette drove to the auto shop to pick up my Mercedes since it was finally repaired today and a brand-new color in red.

"Wow. It looks so much better in red." Loona says as she takes the keys.

"Yep. And was able to remove the bullets inside the interior and did a few upgrades on it. Your boyfriend will enjoy the new features." The shark mechanic says as she gives her the bill.

After Loona pays the bill, she drives my car, while Odette takes Velvela's car back to our penthouse. During the drive, Loona noticed a few cops arresting a couple of people that were suspected of being part of the two mafias. She stayed calm as she drove back to our skyscraper garage and parked my car into our assigned spots. Odette parked next to her and followed her to our penthouse.

"Man, the cops are taking this seriously by removing the diamonds and Spades off the streets officially." Odette says as came into the elevator.

"Yeah. But I know the spades won't go down easily since Rick took over for them, and I will kill him slowly for what he did to Stan." Loona says with rage while scanning her keycard and pushes the button on the elevator.

"My family and I are with you. We did have problems with Rick before." Odette added.

"Like what?" Loona asked.

"He used to work for us by helping us sell our weapons around Liberty City, but he stole our inventory and killed our few workers during the process. One of the workers was my best friend." Odette explains.

"So, he stabbed you in the back too? Sounds like he betrays others that he associates with." Loona says.

"Yes. We never knew he was Mr.Freddrick's right hand man till now." Odette added.

"Well, If I can find him. I'll kill him in the most horrible way." Loona says as she headed to the front door of our house and headed inside.

Loona grabbed a couple suitcases, one for me and one her. She grabbed her clothes and packed my clothes as well and stuff that we needed for basic needs. Loona also grabbed her pink pistol and placed it in her suitcase.

"Got everything you need?" Odette asked.

"Yeah. Just need to call Octavia for some help to watch our penthouse while we are gone." Loona says as she calls her.

Later... a portal opens as Octavia comes out with a few hellhound bodyguards behind her.

"They will watch your home while you are gone." Octavia says as she goes back into the portal.

"Thanks girl." Loona says.

"Does your landlord approve this?" Odette asked.

"Yeah, Hanzo and his girlfriend are alright with it." Loona answers as she instructs the guards to wait at the front door of the penthouse.

"We need to make one more stop. We need to check the weed operation in Broker." Loona says as she heads back to the garage.

Meanwhile...

I was watching TV about the news about the two Mafias being rounded up in Algonquin after the incident at Mr. Freddrick's home. Mayor Diane Foxington was making her speech about the incident and saying that she is taking action of making the city safer for everybody and said that the bridges to Alderney and Happiness Island are finally opened to the rest of Liberty City since the terrorist scare finally died down and everything is easier for everyone to be around In Liberty City. I noticed the listings of the mafia members that were arrested and noticed Rick wasn't in it.

I was disappointed about it since he didn't get what he deserved yet, but one day I'll retaliate for his betrayal of him trying to take my life.

"Are you doing alright?" Carmilla came in with some lunch.

"Yeah. I'm alright.

"Well, I made some lunch for you since you will be here for a while." She says as she gave me a tray of a sandwich and chips with a can of coke soda.

"Thanks. That's very kind of you." I said as I started eating.

"Just wondering. You are very young living on your own in this dangerous city." She says with curiosity.

"I'm only 18. Not that young." I said before I took another bite.

"Don't mean to pry, child. Just wondering about you living in this city alone." She speaks.

"Well, I have but I only lived here for two years." I answered.

"You have family here?"

"Not anymore." I answered while a little upset.

"Oh. Did something happen? You don't have to ask me if you don't want to." Carmilla says with concern.

"My adoptive mother was drafted back to Russia to help fight against terrorists and I left my older sister afterwards since we don't get along like we used to. My friends helped me find a place at an early age, and when I got a little older to find a job at the docks, I meant Loona two years later. My sister was never found since she was evicted from the apartment." I explained.

As a mother, Carmilla felt pretty sympathetic towards me as she put her arm on my shoulder. She wanted to do something for me and said, "My doors are open."

"Thanks."

"We're back!" Odette shouted as she came into the apartment.

Carmilla went to the living room to help move Loona with our luggage to the guest bedroom I was in. Laying low wasn't fun to do since we are in crosshairs since Rick may be planning to get rid of me and Loona since we knew the truth about him.
