Trusting (KTH)

Chapter 1

Clara was managing the last few bits of packing before she and the boys needed to head for the airport. After everything that had happened over the last two years she thought it might be good to have a change of pace. Of course not wanting to be away from her husband while he was on an extended tour simply sealed the deal.

As far as Clara could tell Taehyung really had thought of everything to make this journey easier. He'd order basics like diapers and formula to be sent ahead and even had sent someone to pack all of the bags for the twins, leaving Clara to just pack her own bags.

Normally Clara would be worried in a situation like this, afraid to inconvenience anyone by accidentally leaving a key item behind. But Taehyung had repeatedly assured her that he would make sure she had everything she needed, even if he had to replace everything she owned at each stop on the tour. She didn't want to spend money so needlessly, but it did assure her that she could focus her last remaining energy on the twins.

They had just hit two months old and they were undeniably handsome, constantly getting compliments on their thick dark brown hair and beautiful teddy bear eyes. Over the last few months they had settled into a routine, sleeping somewhat more consistently and eating at regular intervals, allowing Clara a bit more freedom. It had been a lot of work and there were tears from both Clara and the boys along the way, but with her parents and Taehyung support she found she was gradually able to adjust the boys to more of a schedule.

If Clara took the time to think about it, she was terrified of the idea of following Taehyung around the world for the next nine months. Keeping their relationship and the boys a secret seemed almost impossible to imagine. Constantly changing time zones with two infants was also an obvious issue. But Taehyung assured her they could sleep wrapped together every night and he'd found the perfect person to help with the twins along the way. Add in her parents agreement to travel with them and she was feeling more confident. There may be challenges along the way but she and the boys would be well supported and that was all that mattered.

An extra security guard had been added to the trip to help watch over Clara and the boys. They had found someone who loved kids so he was glad to hold one of the boys or whatever else was necessary to keep things moving smoothly. Taehyung made sure he spent several weeks visiting their household before they left on travel just to ensure everyone was fully comfortable with the new relationship.

The company had also recommended a nanny to join them on their travels to help out when an extra hand was needed, to allow Taehyung and Clara a rare date night, or to get up with the twins in the night if they were fussy. The nanny had her degree in early childhood education and was the cousin of a trustworthy member of the security team. Taehyung, Clara's parents, and even Taehyung's parents had interviewed her and signed off. Even though Clara's schedule didn't allow her to meet the new nanny in advance she was glad so many others who loved the boys had taken the opportunity to interview the nanny and provide their own seal of approval.

Altogether she felt confident that things would go well, and knowing she'd have Taehyung by her side confirmed her feelings. Now it was time to go out and explore the world.

By now BTS only flew on private aircraft in an effort to avoid awkward situations with fans. For the first leg of their journey from Seoul to London Clara and the boys would fly privately with Taehyung. From there it was a mix of commercial airlines and periodically joining Taehyung on the private plane for longer flights.

The members were going to go through the whole airport experience so they could get their pictures taken to be plastered all over the internet. Before the boys even arrived at the airport Clara and the twins had been ushered onto the plane to get settled and comfortable. Clara took the opportunity to do a final diaper change to ensure the boys were ready to doze for much of the flight.

She'd finished changing little tiger's diaper and had nestled him back into his car seat, turning her attention to the little cub. As she changed him she chatted with the baby boy, telling him how excited she was to travel with the twins and their daddy and gently rubbing his belly while she showed him her glowing smile.

She jumped a bit when she felt arms circle around her waist and Taehyung's quiet deep voice resonate in her ear. "You better be careful, Namjoon Hyung has our baby tiger and he doesn't look like he's ready to let go anytime soon."

Clara quickly turned, eyes opened wide to see Namjoon cradling the baby in his arms, clearly whispering secrets to the small boy while the baby stared back at him in wonder. She loved how all of the members embraced their boys, although some seemed more comfortable around babies than others. Namjoon could always be expected to grab one of the boys at the earliest opportunity and shower him with an uncle's love and affection.

"We should get seated soon, they are getting ready to take off. I'll get our little tiger back if you want to take the cub, ok?"

Clara nodded, finishing up with the diaper change and then quickly cleaning her hands.

Clara and Taehyung had been given seats next to each other in the back so Clara could have more privacy as she fed the boys on the flight. She'd cover herself and the baby with a blanket under any circumstance but she didn't want anyone to be uncomfortable with the situation.

As the plane taxied to the runway Clara settled the little cub under a blanket and helped him nuzzle into her breast, hoping the feeding could comfort him and his ears. Taehyung got out a bottle he had made up for the little tiger, hoping to offer him the same comfort.

The takeoff went smoothly enough allowing Taehyung and Clara to both sigh in relief. So far so good.

Taehyung strapped on a baby carrier and snuggled the little tiger into the front pocket, unbuttoning his shirt far enough that the baby could nuzzle his cheek against his father's exposed chest. Slowly reclining the seat, he patted the boy's bottom until they both had drifted off the sleep.

Clara cuddled the baby cub into the crook of her arm and also reclined hoping to get some sleep but the cub was too excited about the new and exciting experience and kept squirming around. It only took a couple minutes before Jimin came back and offered to take the wiggly baby, promising Clara he'd just hold onto him until he fell asleep and then deposit him back into her arms.

Clara had long resisted assistance, feeling too proud of her ability to manage herself. But she and Taehyung had a long talk before the tour and he'd made her promise to accept support, knowing the twins would eventually become overwhelming.

Clara politely thanked Jimin and reclined her own seat. Rolling part way to the side she cuddled up to Taehyung and the sleeping tiger, ready to get as much rest as possible so she could be up with the boys if they became fussy later when the rest of the members were trying to sleep.

Altogether it had been a peaceful start to what was about to become a long journey. She hoped it was a sign of good things to come and pressed herself against her beloved husband, deeply inhaling his delicious cologne and allowing herself to truly relax.

This would be a big adventure but she was certain that surrounded by so many people she loved that it would turn into one of the best times of her life.
