Chapter 63

Taehyung had picked up the boys and returned them to their apartment before he went to work that morning. Clara had been very quiet since she returned home the previous day but Taehyung once again knew he had to give her space to process before she'd be able to really talk. He invited her to call or text him at any time and headed out to the company.

By mid-morning the company had learned the defense had folded and wanted a settlement, convinced there was no path forward for them after Clara had withstood their questioning. As part of the settlement they would disclose all the information they had on who had posted the video. This opened many doors for the company who wanted to do everything in their power to thoroughly dissuade this kind of thing from ever happening again. Swift legal proceedings followed by court issued punishments was their best course of action. The company would finally be able to move forward again with finding and bringing a case against the individual who had so seriously violated Taehyung and Clara's privacy.

Taehyung called Clara to tell her the good news. It was no surprise when she told Taehyung she was happy to hear the information but she'd talk to him about it later giving an excuse that the boys needed her. Taehyung found it absolutely agonizing when Clara was in this state. Selfishly he wanted to smother her his love and hear everything that was hurting so she could process it and he could replace it with good memories. But after enough misunderstanding his father-in-law had point blank told him that his efforts to crowd in close to Clara when she was upset was having the opposite effect than he intended. If Clara didn't come around in a few days Taehyung could lean in, but until then, he should let her be.

Taehyung brought home some of Clara's favorite foods that night. He rarely brought home fried chicken, mostly because he loved it too much and couldn't afford all of the fat and calories. But tonight he returned to the apartment with a big box and some banana puddings he had begged the dietician to make in order to help boost Clara's mood.

When he opened the apartment door it was very loud. The little cub was staring at a blaring TV while Clara and the little tiger were nowhere to be seen. Taehyung quickly turned off the television and scooped up the twin, immediately calling for Clara to see if something was wrong.

Clara called back from the twins room where he found her finishing a diaper change.

"Why was the TV so loud?" Taehyung leaned over to kiss her forehead.

"Our little cub seems to have decided he likes to play with the remote. I didn't set it up high enough so he must have gotten a hold of it. I was finishing up a diaper change so I couldn't get to him right away. He really is quite mischievous."

Taehyung chuckled a bit before playfully scolding the little boy in his arms, "hey, don't cause your mom trouble, got it?" He quickly changed the subject, "I brought home some chicken and a special dessert, should I go set the table?"

Clara hummed in acknowledgement while she began snapping up the rest of the little iger's outfit. Setting him on the floor she called for him to crawl after her. She'd been working on encouraging the boy's independent mobility now that her pregnancy was progressing. She could no longer carry both of them and knew that it wouldn't be long before even carrying one of them would be a burden with her growing stomach. Not to mention, after their new little one came she'd need her hands free to carry the infant.

The little tiger required no encouragement, slapping his hands on the floor as he crawled toward the sound of his father's voice. The high chairs were just finishing being set up and the rest of the food was already on the table.

"It smells so good. Thank you Tae. And you even went to my favorite place."

Taehyung beamed. "I'm glad I remembered correctly. Namjoon kept trying to convince me you like the place further down the street, but I'll be sure to tell him he was absolutely incorrect." A mischievous smile overtook his face.
