Arriving in London was a bit hectic for Clara but with the close attention of her security Yoonseo, she made it through immigration seamlessly and to a private car to the hotel. Soon they were in the heart of downtown and Yoonseo was helping Clara and the twins get into their hotel room and fully settled. After a long day of travel Clara was ready to spend some quiet time alone with the boys while they waited for Taehyung to finish his activities for the day.
Before long there was a knock at the door and when Clara looked out the peephole she could see her parents on the other side waiting to be let in. They had flown commercial with the plan that they would meet at the hotel.
Clara quickly opened the door, thankful to see they had made it safely. Things were coming together as smoothly as she had hoped.
Clara's mother swept her up in a hug as soon as she opened the door, overwhelming her with a flurry of questions on how the flight went, how the boys were adjusting, and whether she'd had anything to eat. In the meantime her father had wandered further into the suite, seeing the boys laying together on a blanket on the floor behind Clara. He gave both of them a brief rub on the belly and then picked up the little cub, knowing that his wife would be over in just a moment to collect the other infant.
After her parents had ordered room service for her, she asked if they would mind watching the boys for a bit while she took a quick shower and changed her clothes. She felt a yucky from all of the travel and thought a nice shower would begin to revive her.
As she stood in the shower she began to daydream about everything that could go right on this trip. She'd be with her husband every night, the boys would be surrounded by people who loved them, and Taehyung would get to do one of the things he loved most, make people around the world happy with his music.
They would have to make some sacrifices, particularly if she wanted to stay out of the public eye, but all of it felt highly manageable in light of how glad she was that they would all be together.
After she was dressed she came to the living room to discover a full assortment of room service options and both boys happily babbling in their grandparents arms. Not one to miss an opportunity to eat in peace she quickly dove into the food, not realizing how hungry she had been until she started eating.
"Clara dear, in about half an hour the new nanny will be stopping by to meet the boys and help think through how she can be of the best assistance to you. Have you thought at all about what you'd like from her?" Her father prompted her, hoping that it might give her some confidence if they were there to reinforce her messages.
"Oh, well I guess I'm not really sure. I haven't ever done this kind of thing before so it's hard to guess what is going to be easy and where it will be most challenging. I think the one thing I do know is that I don't feel comfortable having a stranger around while Taehyung is at the suite with us. Maybe my opinion will change as I get to know her better or if we discover night time is especially difficult. But for now I want that to be our private family time, especially because we don't always get to see Taehyung that often. Does that seem reasonable?"
Clara's father kissed the top of her head. "I think that is totally reasonable, sweetheart. Today is just a start, you can always adjust as you go. Is it ok with you if we stay to help with the introductions?"
"Yes please, I'd like that a lot."
"Ok," he assured. "And one last thing, the company has already thoroughly discussed with her the absolute discretion that is required in this role. You don't have to worry about her knowing about Taehyung or anything like that. She already knows about your relationship and understands that she should focus all of her attention on the boys."
