The toppat civil war part 1: Very unlikely allies

Things had been pretty rough for the semi-former toppat leader.

Ever since being dishonorably discharged and escaping from the airship (accidentally killing the leader Reginald and his right hand in the process), he and his small group of toppats who were loyal to him (and also Dave) had been trekking through the desert, looking for, a sense of purpose really. They had eventually taken shelter in an abandoned CCC building, just at the edges of the desert and a large jungle. It was safe enough for now.

For the past week or so, Henry had been thinking about what to do next.

He was wanting to try and rebuild the clan from the ground up with more members since everyone in the clan(or on the airship at least) were simp-le pussywillows who'd fallen to their knees at the words of a gushing female.

But first, he needed to take out everyone on the airship as sweet tasty revenge and also to get rid of any opposition to their forces.

Opposition to their forces... say, that gave him an idea.

It was a crazy idea, but they needed crazy right now.

He writes it down.

Later, he gathers everyone in the center room. "Okay, everyone, I have an idea for how we can take out the airship."

They all wait patiently to hear it, sitting in chairs.

"I want to try and team up with the government."

"WHAT?!"

They all yelled.

Henry puts his hands up. "Listen, I know it sounds ridiculous, but just hear me out."

"How could teaming up with our enemies work?" Geoff asks. "If they see us, they'll have our heads roasted on a spit!"

Thomas nods. "Yeah, we'd be sitting ducks!" he says.

Henry smiled. "Not if we don't attack them first."

He gesticulates. "Listen, they're after the toppats too, correct? So if we explain that we also want them gone, they might give us a chance! And if we have them on our side, we'll have much more firepower!"

Henry then looked to Dave, who looked worried.

"And, I know at least one government worker will be happy to see one of us..." he says with a small smile.

The members consider this.

"Hmm, that might work, but what if they reject the idea and try to get at us?" Geoff asks.

"Then I'll have a backup escape plan ready." Henry says with a smile. "But I don't think we'll have to use it."

Geoff looks to Thomas, who nods, then looks to Dave, who also nods.

He looks back to henry. "Alright, boss. We're with you."

Henry smiles. "awesome," he says. "Don't worry, I have a good feeling about this plan."

He then stands up."Ok, everyone, go get some rest." he says, standing up. "I'm gonna be fine tuning the details of the plan if you need me." he says, walking back into his planning room.

That night, Henry was planning out their attempted teamup, how they were gonna approach them, what he was gonna say to the general, and how they were gonna escape if the offer was refused, which was likely.

"Sir?" a quiet voice says behind him.

Henry turns around, seeing it was thomas. "Yes?" he responds.
