Cheesy romance (Henry x Frederick)

The past few weeks had been going pretty well for Henry and his best friend Ellie.

Ever since being officially recruited into the toppat clan, they'd been getting settled in their new lives, helping with heist missions, exploring the space station, and meeting and making friends with many of the clan members.

One of Henry's many talents was flawlessly remembering names, and in the toppat clan, there were a LOT of names to remember. And even after two weeks they were STILL meeting new ones!

One day, henry was hanging out in one of the many lounges with two of their closer toppat friends, Earrings, a woman with very short blonde hair and large, flashy blue earrings(hence the nickname), and Icepick, a guy with a furry blue hat who always seemed to be too hot. Icepick was currently recalling a story about him and his boyfriend Snowcap about what happened when they got stuck in an ice cave.

Not that the story wasn't interesting, but Henry soon found his eyes wandering away from the table.

And then, Henry's eyes landed across the room, upon two toppats that he and Ellie hadn't met yet that were passing through. There was one who wore a brown top hat and round glasses, and the other...

That guy had a hat that looked like it was made of cheese.

Henry felt his heart and his taste buds speed up.

He was really handsome, and his hat looked like cheese.

CHEESE.

Cheese was one of Henry's top 5 all-time favorite things. (and he'd never tell what the other 4 are.)

He pretty much fell in love at first sight.

Once they're gone, Henry speaks up.

"W-who was that guy...?" he asks.. "T-the one with a hat that looks like cheese...?"

"Cheese hat?" Earrings says. "Oh, that's Freddy muenster." She says, adjusting her hat.

"His hat actually IS made out of cheese if you can believe it." she says with a giggle.

Henry tilts his head. "Really?"

Icepick nods. "Yup. Nobody'll bunk with him because his hat smells bad." he says with a laugh. "He has to wear like a gallon of cologne to cover up the cheese smell to even get near the other toppats."

He laughs again. "He says it's 'all part of the plan', whatever that means."

Henry giggles. "Wow, I bet he's a fun guy."

Earrings nodded. "Oh yeah! If you can get past the smell, he's pretty cool to hang around with."

Henry smiles. "I might go talk to him later, since we haven't actually met yet."

Icepick smirks. "Well, if you like cheese, I'm sure you'll be great friends."

Henry snort-laughs. "Oh I do, believe me."

Later, Henry goes back to him and Ellie's shared dwelling. (since they were the newest recruits and joined at the same time, it made sense for them to bunk together.) It was a simple 2-room apartment with a kitchenette, separate bathroom, and a separate bed for each of them.

He walks in. "hey ells!" he says. "I'm back!"

Ellie looks up from the book she'd been reading, smiling at him. "Oh, hey bud." she says. "Did you have a nice hang out?"

Henry nods. "Oh yeah, icepick told me and earrings about the time he and snowcap got stuck in a cave."

Ellie smiles. "Cool."
