Space-cation part 3: I'd like to speak to the manager (end)

As Charles walked down the long hallway at the very top of the resort, he felt nervous.

The last time he'd seen Henry was when he was using that gun-rocket-jetpack-suit thing to carry off that giant ruby after he thoroughly botched the airship mission.

They weren't exactly on bad terms, but they weren't on great terms either... so it might be a little awkward...

He eventually arrived at the door that said "the office of H. Stickmin ". On the door was a sign that said "please knock."

Taking a deep breath, he knocks on the door.

"Come in." Henry's voice calls.

Charles shakes a bit.

Taking another deep breath, he opens the door, walking in.

Henry was sitting at his big desk, looking up from his paperwork.

Charles jumps a bit. "Uh.... hi!"

Henry's eyes widened, and he smiled brightly. "Charles!"

He gets up. "I didn't know you were staying here!"

Charles smiles. "Y-yeah, i'm on vacation!" he says. "I'm here for the next two weeks."

Henry claps a bit. "Lovely!"

He adjusts his bowtie. "Well, are you enjoying your stay so far?"

Charles nodded. "Oh yeah! This place is amazing! All the activities are super fun, the lounges are so comfortable, and the view of earth is the most incredible thing I've ever seen."

Henry smiles. "Wonderful. Glad to hear you're satisfied."

Charles adjusts his headphones. "Yeah..."

Henry then looks him in the eye. "So, why'd you come up to my office?"

Charles gets a bit nervous.

"W-well... I came here because i.. I Need to talk to you about something."

Henry nods. "Of course."

He stands up from his desk, walking over to charles.

"What do you need to discuss with me?" He asks, standing beside him.

Charles gets nervouser, looking down.

"W-well I-it's kinda personal... is there anyone else that will hear us?"

Henry shakes his head. "No sir. I don't have any meetings scheduled for today, and all employees are required to knock on the door before coming in.

"Good." Charles says.

He then takes a deep breath.

"Listen, Henry, now that we're alone, I need to say something I've wanted to for a very long time."

He looks Henry in the eye. "I-it's good to see you again." he says with a nervous smile.

"I've missed you...and...well..." he tries to find the words.

Henry smiles patiently.

Charles decided to just come right out and say it, squeezing his eyes closed.

"I still have feelings for you!"

Henry turns bright red.

"Y-you do...?"

Charles nods, keeping his eyes closed. "I do."

He sighed. "I-i know that's kinda weird.. Since I haven't seen you in so long, and... you're really busy, and many other reasons..." he says, nervously giggling. "Mostly... what happened in highschool..." he mumbles.
