A special thank you (Super Mario- Princess Peach x Rosalina)

It was late afternoon in the scenic mushroom kingdom, and the stellar lady of the shooting stars was happily strolling (or rather slowly floating) through the mushroom kingdom streets on her way to the toadstool castle.

She had received a special letter from the lovely ruler of the kingdom, princess peach, inviting her to tea. She remembered the words clearly:

"My dear friend Rosalina,

It's been a while since we've spent some time together, just you and me, and that makes me sad. Would you do the honor of joining me for a cup or two of apricot tea at the castle tomorrow evening? I'd be overjoyed to see you!

Peach"

Well, she didn't have anything else to do that day, so it'd be very rude not to attend. Besides, apricot was her favorite flavor tea.

So she made her way through the kingdom, smiling at all the little toads who waved at her.

When she arrived at the steps of the palace, the toad guards let her in with ease. She was a close friend of their princess after all.

Speaking of whom, the mushroom princess's face lit up like a fire flower when she laid eyes upon her.

"ROSE!"

The princess's joyful voice rang out through the throne room as she got up from her chair and immediately ran to hug her.

Rosalina was a bit startled but happily embraced the pink princess. "Hello dear Peach!" She said, giggling. "Excited to see me are you?"

Pulling back, Peach nodded. "I haven't seen you in ages!" She said, "I'm so happy you actually came."

Rosalina smiled gently. "Of course dear." She says. "I wouldn't miss an opportunity to spend time with one of my very dearest friends." She giggled. "Or have my favorite tea."

Peach giggles, gently taking her hand. "Well it's not just tea waiting for you..." she says, leading her off towards the front balcony. "I've made you something extra special."

Rosalina tilts her head. "Oh? And what is that?"

Peach giggles again. "Well just wait and see!"

When they arrived at the balcony, Peach opened the doors to reveal a beautiful cake sitting on a tea cart, surrounded by two comfortable-looking chairs.

It was 3 tiered, with teal-ish mint-colored frosting that matched Rosalina's dress, and decorated with little candy star bits and frosting lumas all over.

Rosalina gasps, a bright smile appearing on her face.

"Oh Peach, dear, this is so sweet!" She said, placing a hand on her chest. "But," she looks at her. "Why would you make an entire cake just for me?" She giggles. "It isn't my birthday."

Peach giggles as well. "Well..." she says nervously. "I wanted to do something special to thank you, for winning that bumper brawl match for our team, during the last party we all had..." she said. "It would have been really frustrating if we'd lost and had to all start over again."

She giggles again. "So yeah, I really appreciate it."

Rosalina laughs, covering her mouth. She remembered that.

"Oh, it was no issue, dear." She said once she'd calmed down. "It was my pleasure to teach those guys a lesson." She says with a smirk

Peach smiles. "Well, I'm glad you like it." She says. "Shall we dig in?"

Rosalina nods. "Lets."

Peach smiles. "Ok, I'll cut the cake while you pour the tea." She said, picking up the cake spade.
