(art by me)

It was a nice evening, and Henry was hanging out on the couch.

Ever since stealing the emerald, breaking into hundreds of pieces to sell, and becoming absolutely loaded, His current goal in life was just to survive, not get found by authorities, maybe steal some stuff here and there, and maybe, just maybe, find his soulmate.

He'd been so lonely ever since he found the emerald, and so far, he hadn't had much luck impressing any rich girls or guys. Mostly because there WEREN'T any rich girls or guys in his area as far as he could tell.

But where could he find girls and/or guys? He thinks.
He ponders this for a moment, then smiles.

He knew there was a pretty decent restaurant not far from where he lived, a little place called sherry's diner. It had everything a diner could need; An old fashioned jukebox, delicious homemade cheesecake, and even a pool table.

He gets up. It was about dinnertime, and he could use a bite to eat.
He throws on his jacket and takes his scooter down to sherry's, parking it outside and going in, seeing there was a bit of a line.

Looking around the diner, he wonders if there are any potential fine babes here.

Then, he spots someone.
He was about as tall as Henry, and he had messy blonde hair and gorgeous ruby-red eyes.

He looked... a little familiar.
Like, he'd seen him before, he just couldn't place when or where. But he was pretty cute.

Target spotted.

Henry takes a deep breath, walking over to him.

"Hi there." he said with a little wave.

The blonde looked up at him. "Uh, hello there." he says, waving back shyly.

"I'm Henry," Henry said. "What's your name?"

The guy smiled. "My name's Jacob."

Henry smiled. "Cute name."

Jacob blushes a little. "Thanks!"

Henry smiles. "What's a cutie like you doing in a lowlife joint like this?"

Jacob blushes more and giggles. "Well, they have some good stuff here."

Suddenly, a waitress walks over. "Table for two?" she asks.

Both guys blush.
Henry looks at Jacob, silently asking, 'you want to?'

Jacob looks at him, then back at the waitress. "Yeah, sure," he says shyly.

Henry smiles a bit as the waitress nods and leads them to their table.

They both sit down, ordering their drinks and looking at the menus.

"Sooo Jacob, you come here often?" Henry asks.

Jacob nods. "Oh yeah, I like coming here every other Tuesday." he answers with a smile. "The cheesecake they have here is the best."

Henry smiles. "Yeah, I know right? It's heavenly! And their cherry pie is out of this world."

Jacob's eyes light up. "You like cherry pie too?"

Henry nodded. "Yeah!"

The two kept chatting for a bit, bonding over random things, mostly food related.

Then Jacob smiled gently. "You know, I've never had a date quite like this." he says, idly stirring his drink with the straw.

Henry blushes. "So is this... a date...?"

Jacob blushes a bit, but smiles and nods. "Sure, I guess it is."

Henry smiles, gently taking his hand. "Cool..."

The waitress walked up again, and then they ordered their food and waited.

"So where do you work?" Henry asked.

"I'm currently unemployed." Jacob answered. "But I used to work at the national museum of history and culture." he said, taking a sip of his lemonade.

Henry felt a shiver go down his spine. "O-oh, really...?"
He hadn't heard about that place in a while...

"Yeah," Jacob nodded. "I was a security guard there until some guy managed to steal the entire freaking Tunisian diamond undetected..." he said, a bit angry.

Henry then had a revelation.
THAT'S where he'd seen Jacob before! He was one of the guards by the exit of the museum while he was stealing the diamond.

Well, that makes things awkward.

"G-gee..." he gulps. "Wonder w-who did that..." he says, nervous.

Jacob shrugs. "I dunno... but..." he leans closer. "I have a theory."

Henry smiles a bit. "Oh? Do tell." he says, taking a sip of his coffee.

Jacob looks left and right. "I bet it was the..."
He looks at henry.

"Red headed rose."

Henry shivers again. Oh the things he's heard about her.

"R-really...?" he says. "I thought she was just a killer, I didn't know she was a thief too..."

Jacob nods. "She's every criminal rolled up into one..."

He then looks down.
"My last girlfriend was... killed by her..." he said sadly.

Henry winces. "Oooh... I'm so sorry..." he says gently, holding his hand.

Jacob smiled, holding it back. "It's ok. At least there haven't been any more murders since then."

Henry nods. "Yeah, that's true."

Once they got their food, they ate and kept chatting.

"So Jacob..." Henry asks, nervous, as Jacob looks up at him.

"Are... are you single?"

Jacob smiles and nods. "Yea..."

Henry smiles a bit and blushes. "C-cool..."

They eventually finished eating, Henry offering to pay for both of them, which Jacob appreciated.
After the bill, they both walked outside together.

Jacob smiles at henry. "You know, this was a really nice date."

Henry nods. "Yeah... I haven't been on a date in so long..."

Jacob tilts his head. "Really?" he giggles. "Then, can I have your number?"

Henry smiles, blushing a bit. "Sure, if you want it..."
He pulls out his thing of notepads and pen, then scribbles it down and hands it to him.

"Thanks." Jacob said, putting it in his pocket. "I'll call you, let's say tomorrow evening?"

Henry smiles. "Sounds good to me."

Jacob smiles back. "Awesome. I'll talk to you then."

He then leans over, pecking Henry on the cheek and making him blush harder than he had all night.. "Goodnight henry." he says, walking away and waving.

Henry was a bit stuttery. "G-goodnight Jacob..."

He then smiled and sighed dreamily, starting to walk home.
His mission to find love was going well, Jacob was a lovely guy and he really liked him.

Sure, he'd need to hide the leftover gem pieces if and when Jacob came over in the future, but that'd be fine.

Now that he wasn't alone, Henry finally felt happy.
