Elizabeth

I was sitting in my living room watching a series when my phone suddenly rang.

I paused the episode and answered.

'Hello' said a man.

"Yes?"

'Is this... " he paused and I heard him ask a question then a voice answered though I couldn't understand the words.

'Is this Elizabeth? ' he asked.

"Yes? "

"Hello I am calling from *insert school name* our student Violet here says she knows you. "

"Violet... What's wrong with Violet? "

"Yes well there was a problem at school and she says your the only adult she has so we would like it if you came and picked her up. "

I agreed as I started to worry and they gave me the address for the school.

I put on a cap and some sunglasses since it was a high school and started to drive.

When I arrived there were students outside meaning it was break time.

I confirmed entry and went inside the school trying not to get the attention of the kids around to much.

I walked through the crowded corridors and I found the principals office.

I knocked on the door and waited until I heard a come in.

I slowly opened it and when I entered the principal was sitting on his desk while Violet was on a chair.

She was looking down but I could hear quite sniffles.

"Ms? "

"Olsen." I said and the principal nodded.

He pointed at the empty chair across Violet's and I sat down.

I stared at Violet and I could see blood at the tip of her lips and her cheek was abit swollen.

I looked back up at the principal. "What happened? "

"It seems that Violet here has been being bullied by some of our students. Actually most but a certain amount of people have been physically and verbally abusing her. Though we have only identified one since they both wouldn't tell us. " he said looking at Violet as he finished.

"Violet." I mumbled but all I heard was a sniffle.

"Well we've decided to let Violet rest for awhile so she doesn't have to attend school and the student who was abusing her was expelled. "

"It was that bad? It was so bad that they were expelled. "

"They were trying to choke her with those pants miss Olsen. " he said pointing at Violets lap.

I looked down to see the tights I gave her.

"Choke her!? " I asked again raising my voice abit.

"Yes though they didn't tell us the reason why... " he said looking at Violet once again.

"Well, I'll be going now then. " I said not wanting to hear more.

I stood up and walked over to Violet.

I touched her shoulder making her flinch. My heart broke as she did.

She finally looked up and I finally saw the bruise forming around her neck.

I reached my hand out and she took it.

Before we left the office I put her hoodie up for her and wrapped my arm around her waist.

We walked past the halls that were now empty.

She sat in the passenger seat and I drove us to my house.

I looked at her once in awhile and all she was doing was look out the window.

When we got home I sat her down inmy bed and left to get her some clothes.

Right when I found her something I started hearing loud sobs coming from her instead of the sniffles.

I quickly turned around and found her crying her heart out as she started to hit her head.

I stood up to make her stop but instead she yelled "SHUT IT! PLEASE BE QUITE! "

"Violet... " I said in a worried voice.

She looked up and made eye contact with me.

Tears left her eyes once again "They won't be quite... " she said before she covered her ears.

She sobbed loudly. "Who Violet who? " I asked as I tried my best to stop her.

She whimpered "Their voices... " she said and looked up again.

"I keep hearing their voices... "

"Their voices next to my ear... Saying the same things. Their grunts, their moans. " She whimpered as she tightened her grip on her hair.

"They just won't... "

"They won't shut up! "

I put my hands on hers and tightly held them.

Her grip on her hair loosened and she looked up at me.

I let one of her hands go and touched her cheek. I stroked it and she slowly melted into my touch.

"Lizzie... "

I hummed.

"Are you here to stay? " she asked me.

"What do you mean? "

She sighed. "Are you going to leave me to? "

I put on a soft smile. "Why would I leave you. " I had no reason to leave her.

I would keep her by my side forever if I could.

"Everyone leaves me even if they love me they leave me... " she said and she fell onto my chest almost making me fall back.

"My mom left me all alone... My foster mom died leaving me alone once again. "

She lifted her head abit so she could make eye contact with me.

"So your telling me that... "

"You won't leave me or die? "

I wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin on the top of her head.

"I won't ever leave you Violet... "
